==The Purchase==

I decided to purchase these paper plates principally on the price. I had organised a buffet and did not want to be faced with a mountain of washing up. So thought the best alternative would be these. They cost £1.20 for 50 plates (works out at about 2p each) - I had originally planned to get my paper plates from poundland but as I was in Tesco I just opted for these instead and was happy to pay 20p more than my original budget for them.

Certainly, they are super value for money - they consist of an abundance of plates 50 in total, which was enough for me to give to guests to eat from and to place all the goodies on top on the trestle table.

==Quality==

Looks wise they are not the most festive so that was a bit of a trade-off for me, I had to balance price and quantity over other 'prettier' paper plates. However, I got round this as I had a festive tablecloth and also the food was going to be covering up most of the plates so really this was not too much of an issue.

The plates are somewhat thinner than the more quality ranges which I thought was to be expected given the low price. However as long as they held the food whilst the guests were eating it that was all that mattered.

==Using them / Testing them Out==

To me these were a good bargain buy, they were fit for purpose, none ripped whilst being used or creased or folded too easily. They were light and easy to carry around and set down with varying amounts and styles of food.

Even those people with 'good appetites'! who loaded upon sausage rolls, vol-u-vents, sausages on sticks, cheese and pineapple managed to balance it all well on the plates.

Although somewhat smaller than my heavy dinner plates I found these are a perfect item to have in for buffets and also I imagine in the summertime for BBQ's. I am sure they would hold a couple of weighty bbq sauce laden chicken legs and a burger adequately.

I still have a few of these plates left and so far my little one has had fun decorating them with feathers and tissue paper to make faces.

So not only have these been handy for their original purpose but also for keeping little ones amused. I now have some very fun colourful faceplates decorating my kitchen wall.!

==My Conclusion ==

A great buy - cheap and cheerful and abundance of them. They also store easily away not taking up too much room in the cupboard.

I give this 4 stars for price and quality.

Summary: Super cheap buy, handy to have in, saves on washing up.
