Advantages: Cheap, washable, comfortable to drink from, versatile

Disadvantages: Could be better quality

I bought these cups from Tesco as my daughter has some large bottles of poster paints and we didn't have anything to put them in and I thought since these were so low priced they were ideal and cheap enough to just throw in the bin afterwards.

The cups are part of the Tesco Everyday range which used to be Tesco Value, you can buy a pack of 25 or a pack off 100. A pack of 25 cups costs 55p and a pack of 100 costs £2 so really you don't save much by buying the bigger pack unless you need more than 25 of course.

The cups came packaged in a see through plastic wrapper which I still keep the remaining cups in to stop them ending up all over, on the front of the wrapper is the Tesco logo and the name of the product but being a value product there is never much information on the packaging.

The cups are made of thin white plastic which isn't very flexible so for all it doesn't crack under the pressure of you holding the cup if you place too much pressure on the cups they do split. The cups are of average size and they are narrower at the bottom than at the top and each one is very light in weight. The cups are plain for the bottom 1/3 and then there are ridges all the way around the cup for the next section and then the next section of the cup is smooth again, I would presume the ridges are to make holding them easier.

Like I said we actually use the cups for putting poster paints in, they stand easily and the paint is easy to pour inside and the cups don't tip up at all, my daughter finds it easy to play with her paints in the cups which is great and the cups are wide enough that she can dip her fingers in to do finger paints too. The cups are of course washable and I do tend to give them a rinse out and reuse although they don't come properly clean so you have to use the same colour paint in the same cup again.

The cups cost 2p each if you buy the pack of 100 and at that price I don't mind them going in the bin but we tend to get 2 or 3 uses per cup so they last really well anyway. The cups mean my daughter can have a great range of paints out at one time and she also has spare cups that she uses for mixing in which prevents splashing of paints which please Mammy!!

These cups have been used to drink from when we had a barbeque in the summer and they are comfortable to drink from and they don't hold onto drink stains or smells. I think these cups are great value and very versatile and I would recommend them.

Summary: What more do you want at 2p per cup
