Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Flimsy
There are certain things which I'm just not willing to pay lots of money for. Things that are designed to be thrown out after being used once are one such thing. I have bought the Tesco value plastic cups loads of times and find them to be fine for what I expect of them for the money I pay.
They only cost 55p for a pack of 25 cups so they are really cheap but they do the job and I really don't see the point in spending more on disposable cups when these ones work fine and are just going to be binned at the end of the day.
For 55p you can't really expect a lot and as long as you realise that you aren't going to get really thick cups then you won't be disappointed. The plastic that these are made of is really thin and you can tell they are not the best quality as the cups are a little flimsy but for kid's parties or picnics these are fine.
They are good for children as they are quite small so you can't overfill them and make them too heavy. I tend to only fill them 3 quarters of the way up anyway because when you hold them the plastic can bend which caused the liquid in them to spill so if you don't fill them to the top there is less chance of liquid getting spilt on carpets.
When you are finished with them I suppose you could wash and dry them to use again but usually by the time they have been used they have bend and sometimes split so I find it is just easier to recycle them and buy some more if I need them.
These plastic cups are not great quality but they do the job and that's all you can really expect for 55p for 25 of them. You can spend more to get slightly better ones but at the end of the day you are buying plastic cups so cannot expect them to be brilliant quality. As long as you don't have really high expectations then these will do fine and because they are so cheap I can be more forgiving than I would be if they cost more money.
Summary: Not the best quality but good for the price
