Disadvantages: light, flimsy
These cups are tesco value plastic cups and so can only be found in Tesco.
Inside the pack is 25 plastic cups which cost 55p, which I thought was pretty cheap as i'm sure they mainly ranged from £1.
I bought them as I thought they would be useful for a gathering at home and saves on the washing up.
As they are packaged you cannot really tell what the plastic cup is like quality wise but I thought pretty much all plastic cups would be the same - much like the plastic plates/knives/forks etc.
But on using these tesco value cups I thought they were a lot thinner and flimsy compared to previous plastic cups I have bought. I found you cannot put too much liquid right up to the top of the cup as it is more likely to bend in the middle when holding the cup. Also because it is so light having drinks in it filled to the top I also thought it was going to topple over. I ended up half-filling the cups and just refilling them when finished just to be on the safeside of not having drinks spilling everywhere.
The plastic cup has a little edge around the top which I think makes it a little easier to drink from, and there are faint lines around the cup.
The cups are fine for cold drinks but I would not use them for hot drinks as the heat makes it a lot harder to hold and especially due to the flimsyness of the cup I would just use a mug as you would not want a hot drink to fall on you!
I thought these were pretty average cups, although they were cheap.. they were also poorer on the quality side. In terms of buying plastic cups I wouldn't really recommend them as for a similar price im sure you could find some better quality ones elsewhere.
However if you are using them for crafts with children then they are fine and cheap enough. I used them to put paint into the cups so children can paint with them and I had no problems.
If they weren't so light and flimsy then they would have been fine especially because of the price, but I think the quality of it lets it down.
They are easily disposable and can go straight into the bin after using them which is a bonus as it saves on the washing up :)
I give it 3 out of 5 stars.
Thanks for reading :)
