Advantages: Cheap to buy, strong enough plastic. Nice size

Disadvantages: None for me.

I am now buying and stocking up with plastic cups for the BBQ season which is not too far away and I buy these cups on a regular basis throughout the year as I entertain a lot and they are handy for the little ones and are a good price. I have lots of BBQs as I am lucky enough to have quite a large garden and also it is south facing too, so lots of sunshine in my garden to entertain in the summer months. I buy lots of shops own brands of cups as I find them very good value for money and I buy them on a regular basis from all shops.

These cups are usually only priced at around 55p for a pack of 25. They are white in colour and they are stacked inside each other, they are wrapped in a transparent plastic wrapper to keep them in place. The wrapper is very basic looking and just has label on the front which comes in the usual colours of the Tesco Value range of blue and red.

Each cup is a nice sturdy plastic, they measure approximately 4 inches in length and the width of the cup is approximately 3 inches and so quite a good size for a cup. They are also very basic looking and no frills pattern. They have kind of a groove effect in lines going down the cup horizontally, but I am not too bothered how they look so long as they are good cups of which these ones are perfectly fine for my parties. The top of the cups have a ridge so it is comfortable to drink from the cup. It feels nice on the lips and is not sharp or rough, it is a nice smooth plastic. It means the drink can then be placed into the mouth without spilling it down you body onto your clothing etc and making a mess. They also stand very well on a surface if you do not finish the drink in one go. The base of the cup is quite strong and it does not tend to tip over as it is quite a good sturdy base with these ones. It can be annoying when a cup falls over with the liquid inside but these I have found stay in place very well indeed, so no messy tables or surfaces if you have to place it down somewhere in a hurry as we all have to do at times.

They do not bend when they are filled with the drink, they do not squash and feel all flimsy as you would probably expect from a cheaper brand. They are very light in weight and they stay in shape too as there is nothing worse than pouring a drink into a cup and then it bending and the drink falling out of it. They hold the drink very well indeed with no problems at all. These cups are very easy to hold for an adult, they are super for the little ones to hold because they are just the right size for their tiny hands. They can easily grip them as the ridges give them just that little extra firmer hold for their tiny hands. My grandson is 2 years old now and he can hold one perfectly fine without dropping it. I usually only fill it with a little juice because I know he won't drink it all in one go. I just refill it if he wants another drink or just use another one because they do not cost the earth and so using more than one is not a problem.

These are amazingly ideal for children's parties because it means that they are perfectly safe and the children cannot hurt or cut themselves if the drop them while walking around at the party. Also because they can be stacked it means they can easily be placed onto a table for them to take one and use. They are very easy to remove and they do not need to be tugged to pull them out of the stack as I have found some other brands that I have found I have to pull a little harder to use one. It can be very irritating at parties when the little ones are desperate for a drink and they cannot wait and you are trying to part the cups. With these cups I have no problems whatsoever being in a rush and needing one immediately for the impatient little ones lol.
They are also ideal for picnics, they are so light to place into a picnic basket or bag and take very little room. They are so cheap to buy for these occasions and so affordable for any budget in my opinion. They are brilliant for any party or just to give to the little ones in the home if you find that they drop cups or they want to take a drink outdoors in the summer time if their friends come over to play in the garden. They are very safe for these occasions and my grandson used some of these last year in my garden and he could then walk around with it in his hands and he was safe and it gave me peace of mind.

I have also taken these cups when I have been to the races in the summer time as I find they are handy when I need a drink and I am in the picnic area. I do not find them embarrassing to hold because I have seen lots of adults using them too at the races but my hubby told me when I first took them with us that other people would think I was being silly because I had not taken a posher cup, I just told him he was being a snob and I still took some in the basket lol. Lots of people drink from these kind of cups because it is much safer as children run around playing at the races with their parents or grandparents or other relatives so I think taking them there too is a good idea and I did not feel silly at all as I am no snob lol. Perfectly ideal I think in my opinion.

For the cheap price and the amount in the pack I just think these are amazingly good value for money and they are excellent quality too in my opinion. I highly recommend them for anyone to buy for any occasion where you need to use a plastic cup. I think they are also ideal for using for crafts with the little ones because sometimes cups are needed for making things and being adventurous and I think these are just super if you want to create something with your child on a rainy day etc or just for when you are having a day when you are a little bored etc and want to have fun. Although I have not used these for craft days I do think they can easily be cut if you are making a face with the cup etc and want to make eyes for a face etc. My hubby has used these to play magic games with my little grandson and placed coins under them and moved them around the table to have fun, they do not scratch as a pot cup can or a strong plastic cup, these are so light and the pressure given while moving them cannot scratch surfaces so they are ideal for fun games too.

My grandson has picked them up and thrown them when he has been annoyed because he cannot see the coins under the one he chose lol and so it means they are safe and do not break when being thrown around the home. They are good for him to role play with his toy soldiers or teddy's when he wants to give them a drink etc. He has also started to use them in his playhouse in my garden to role play with his toys and so they are ideal for him to use without having to use my pot ones and so safer using these ones.

So a lot of uses for these cups and I will continue to buy these in the future as I find they are all that I expect from a plastic cup and very happy with the way they hold the drink for the purpose they are to be used. I will keep on buying these cups in the future.
