Advantages: The price and overall quality

Disadvantages: none for me

I picked a pack of Tesco Value cups up towards the end of last year in preparation for a small party that we were having at our house over Christmas. Lots of my friends now have small children, and I am kind of getting used to them coming round to our house and generally terrorising the place, and so I decided that with there being a lot of people around for the party, it might be best for the little ones to drink out of plastic cups. The benefit of this is two-fold, firstly it removes the chance of them dropping their cups and having the worry of broken glass or crockery on the floor, and secondly it reduces the washing up at the end of the party.

The cups come in packs of 25 and are priced at just 55 pence which is a bit of bargain in my opinion. They are also available in a pack of 100 which I almost ended up buying, but at a price of £2 there is not a huge saving to be had from buying in bulk, and so instead I paid £1:10 for 2 packs of 25 cups, which I knew would be plenty.
The come stacked up inside each other as can be seen on the picture above, and are covered in a clear plastic wrapper. The wrapper contains the traditional 'Tesco Value' label which can be seen sitting inside the wrapper.

The cups themselves are pretty good considering the price. I drink a lot of water out of water tanks at work, and so have used a variety of different plastic and paper cups over the years and these from Tesco fair pretty favourably in comparison. They are bright white plastic cups which have a decent sturdy base to them when placed on a level surface. The exterior of the cups have a grooved pattern on them to aid with grip when lifting the cup, which works well. Unlike some other cups that I have used in the past they do not crumple in the hand when lifting up a full drink either.

Overall these cups from Tesco are a bit of a bargain and the children were happy using them at our party. I had lots of them left over after the party and have since used the majority of the left over ones when taking a drink out to the garage, or just when I want a quick drink in the house without creating any additional dishes, as I can just simply through the cup into the recycle bin once I am finished with it (I know that is lazy!).
For the price that Tesco sell these cups you can't really go wrong, and as mentioned above they do compare well to other similar styled cups. They do a simple job very well, and as such I would be happy to purchase them again in the future.

Thanks for reading.
