Tesco Value Travel Snack Pots
Advantages: Good price, secure, can be stacked, nice colours
From my first daughter beginning weaning I have always tried to make my own food for my children although I do admit to using pre prepared baby food as well. I am always watching out for suitable pots to put food into and I bought these when doing a shop at my local tesco store. I cannot remember exactly how much the tubs costs but do believe it was in the region of £2 for a pack of 5 pots and lids.
The pots came packaged in thin cellophane and so were easy to open simply using a pair of scissors to cut a little nick and the corner and tearing open, with there being little packaging it also in turn means little waste for the bin.
The tubs come in a pack of five and each tub is a different colour, there is pale green, pale blue, pale yellow, pale pink and lilac, each pot has a mtaching lid although there is no reason why the pots and lids can not be mixed and matched how you choose.
Each tub is made of hard plastic and is a slight oval shape but with little corners if you can understand what I mean, the shape of the tub make it easier to hold than if it was circular when you are trying to feed your child. On the side of each tub there are some little pictures, theres a little lion, a babies head and a teddy bear surrounded by little stars, the pictures are drawn on the plastic in the same colour as the tub but the picture is frosted rather than see through.
The tubs are very easy to clean as they only have curved bits and so there are no corners for food to get stuck in. The pots are durableand have never cracked scratched or clouded with repeated use.
These tubs are great and hold a portion of baby food well, I use these tubs for all sorts and they have never let me down. My eldest daughter takes raisins and peas in the tubs to school and they have never come open even with her bashing her lunchbag about. The tubs will also stack on top of each other which is helpful for fridge space when I have prepared the food and also useful for when taking out in the changing bag. I would recommend these tubs they are a good price, secure and a good size for carrying around.
Summary: I just wish my daughter would realise they are not toys
