A messy mistake corrector!

Tipp-Ex Rapid Fluid
Advantages: hides pen mistakes
Disadvantages: takes ages to dry, can be quite gloopy and runny
When in school, I used to use Tipp Ex in class when I had made errors with my work, and to cover up my mistakes! Now at work, I have to complete forms which annoyingly can only be completed with pens so when I make a small mistake I have to whip the little pot out all over again reminding me of secondary school days!
Tipp-ex is a white correction fluid that comes in a little white bottle. It has a screw top lid and inside has a small stick attached to the lid which has a triangular shaped sponge at the end for application. Using Tipp-Ex is easy enough, simply dab the sponge inside the small bottle and it absorbs liquid and then brush it onto the piece of paper (hopefully a white piece of paper!) and voila! It covers up any mistakes.
There are good and bad things though about using Tipp Ex. It is good, as scribbling out sometimes isn't an option as it looks to untidy and unorganised and so a quick application of Tipp Ex makes it look all the slightly more aesthetic. Downsides to Tipp Ex are that at first it is quite runny, so really a small application is all that is needed as too much will become all gloopy and just run everywhere on the page making it look worse than if you had simply crossed out the mistake. When I bought this new bottle the other day I forgot how runny a consistency it actually is so I ended up using farrr too much. Oops!
Also, once it has been opened for a while this can dry out and go hard and stiff oh so quickly, making it harder to apply and use and so really a waste of money. Ensure the lid is screwed on people! Also, keeping it for an age in a drawer seems to make it go hard quite quickly as I found when I opened some, closed it back and didn't use it again for 6 months. Oh dear.
Lastly, once it is applied to (white of course!) paper again it can sometimes take what feels like a lifetime to dry. I often want to just get back to my work, so sitting waiting for a small blob of Tipp Ex to dry so I can complete my work really grinds my gears!
I bought this 20ml bottle from Rymans for £2.99 but they did have a good deal with 2 bottles of Tipp Ex for £3.99 but I really didn't need that much. To be honest, it is a handy tool but wish someone would create a correction method for paper that wasn't so messy!
Summary: correction fluid but at a messy price
