      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Luxurious , soft to the touch gorgeous colour but impractical as dry clean

I always try to do most of my food shopping online as supermarkets now sell so much more than food that I end up buying things I don't need. Particularly cushions and bedding.

So on a rare visit to Sainsbury's I came out with what my husband would describe as 'ANOTHER throw'!

I love throws and this particular one caught my eye, because it is a really nice natural colour in a fine chenille fabric.
It is very soft and a lovely light weight which I like because it provides some warmth but is not overly heavy so you feel trapped under the weight of it.

It is a good size , wide enough to provide a overhang on a double bed and an exact fit for a king size, again something I like as some throws are not really wide enough even for a double bed. The size is 125 x 150 cm or 50" x 60"

The edges of the throw are tasselled and although they look nice, peculiarly one side became so knotted that I had to cut them off. The other side remained knot free which is strange, but I cut them off as well and did that very carefully so that the throw did not unravel.

I use throws all around the house, but mainly on our bed for warmth and because I think they finish a bed off.

The fabric is a polyester viscose mix and looks and feels very luxurious.

The colour is natural , so a nice beigey colour that would not look out of place in a Kelly Hoppen design scheme.

The main issue with this throw is it is dry clean only, however I did not realise that and washed it.
The throw survived without shrinking but did shed some bobbly bits, which fell off easily.

I washed it again and dried in the tumble dryer, again no shrinkage, but a massive amount of fluff came off the fabric and I think I was lucky not to damage the tumble drier.

I paid £12 for this and it was also available in red.

      Would I Recommend
No as although the look and feel is excellent, I don't think this will survive too many washes. Ok so it is meant to be dry clean only, but really who would expect to have to dry clean a £12 throw. It just isn't practical. Also the tassels became so knotted I had to cut them off.

If you do decide to give it a go and decide to wash rather than dry clean, do not put this in the tumble dryer as it will fill your dryer with fluff and more than likely damage your dryer.

Summary a nice looking impractical throw . Only gets 3 stars as it is dry clean only.
