      Very helpful

A great gift for a Twilight fan

As many of you will already know I am a huge Twilight fan and I have many products related to the saga and so for Christmas my friend knew it would be a good idea to buy me the Eclipse calendar!

The Eclipse calendar is great for fans of the films as it features different pictures of the characters throughout it. If you were a fan of just Edward for example I would advise you to try the Robert Pattinson calendar as he will not be on your wall every month with this calendar.

The calendar is unusual in that it actually starts in October 2010 and runs all the way through to December 2011. Obviously for me who received this as a gift for Christmas the October- December 2010 months have been quite redundant and I am not sure why they would put this in there. Perhaps some people couldn't wait and wanted the calendar on their walls as soon as they possibly could?!

The calendar is made from thick glossy paper and it feels really good quality. On the front cover we have the three main characters in Bella, Edward and Jacob and we also have the eclipse name as well as some red swirls which seem to be apparent on every page of the calendar. Inside the front cover is a yearly calendar but it doesn't have any days on it so it is a bit confusing for me! There is also a notes section for people who may like to use it for that.

When you get in to the month sections of the calendar you have a large picture on the top part and then the month is laid out on an equivalent sized page. On the main monthly pages you can see what day a particular date falls and there are also key events noted on the calendar but these do seem to be particularly American celebrations such as thanksgiving. It is also pointed out on the calendar what the moons patterns are on certain dates.

I like the fact that there is plenty of space on this calendar for me to write birthdays or other events in the days as each day has a square which I would say is around an inch by an inch. I think most people would find this sufficient space to write the things they needed to on there.

The pictures on the calendar all follow a similar theme with a greyish looking background with lots of red swirls around the sides and then a character on there too. The calendar does not look out of place at all on my cream bedroom wall though.

I think any Twilight fan would like this calendar and it is useful as well as being a Twilight item! I would say though that the pictures are quite broad and so they feature member of the wolf pack as well as the volturi and I am not sure that these needed to be included to be honest as they aren't huge characters. The pictures in the calendar are as follows:

      October 2010: Sam
      November 2010: Victoria
      December 2010: Emily
      January 2011: Emmett
      February 2011: Jacob
      March 2011: Sam and Emily
April 2011: Edward (wooop wooop I got my favourite for my birthday month!)
      May 2011: Bella
      June 2011: Jasper
      July 2011: Jacob and Bella
      August 2011: Alice
      September 2011: The Volturi
October 2011: Bella, Edward and Jacob
      November 2011: Carlisle
      December 2011: Edward

You can buy the calendar from Amazon for £4.71 if you are interested.
