      Good buy

      I bought these for the bedroom about a year ago now.

      ==How much are they and what options are available?==

      The voiles start from £9 each however I got mine on a buy one get one free offer where you get two voiles exactly the same for the price of one. I think this is a long running offer as it is still going now and voiles do tend to be in pairs.

      You can choose from slot-top voile panels or tab-tob panels. The price depends on the size of the voiles. I preferred the slot-top for the bedroom and I needed the smallest size which was a drop of 122cm. The longest drop is 229cm. Every panel is 149cm wide.

      The tab-top panels are more expensive than the slot-top, here are a few examples of prices:
      122cm drop: slot-top: £9 tab-top: £10
      160cm drop: slot-top: £13 tab-top: £16
      229cm drop: slot-top: £19 tab-top: £25

      Both of the designs are available in black, white, latte, cream, red, chocolate, soft teal, purple, cerise.

      ==Putting them up==

      To put the voiles up you will need a voile pole. These are £10 from Very which I thought was a bit pricey so after having a quick look on ebay I realised I could use a net curtain wire so I bought one of these for a bargain 99p therfore making my whole voiles costing around £10 rather than almost £20. After all, when you have slot-top voiles you can't see the pole anyway.

      The voiles are easy to put up, you simply slide the pole or wire through the gap at the top and then put the pole or wire up depending on which you have.

      ==How do they look?==

      I ordered the cerise ones of these as our bedroom is complete pink! I think I would have preferred a lighter pink if there was one available because the cerise is quite dark.

      The voiles are actually too long for my window and have an overhang of about 20cm. This doesn't look great so I tend to sort of tuck them up onto the window sill and then I think they look better. My window is also quite thin so the fabric is quite gathered however I prefer this so it is not a problem.

      ==Do they work?==

      As I said I bought these for a bit of privacy throughout the day. They do provide this so I have what I wanted however they do make my bedroom very dark so I often choose to pull the voiles back to let some light in which defies the whole point really!

      ==Keeping them nice==

      The voiles still look brand new but I do know that voiles can be washed as my mum has some that she has washed before.

      The voiles often get wet when they are behind my blind and curtains at night and condensation forms on the window however they dry very quickly and no marks are left.

      ==Would I recommend them?==

      Yes, they provide privacy for a low price and can be bought to co-ordinate with a room or to brighten one up. They are also more simple than net curtains so are more appealing to me personally.

      When I bought them I thought that the £9 I paid was a really reasonable price and I do still think its a good price. I recently bought some larger ones for the living room in the latte colour and I am very pleased with these too.
