WHSmith A4 File Pockets
Advantages: Strong, good quality
Ever since school I've had to keep all my paperwork neat and tidy, from the presentation of the writing all the way to the way I store pieces of paper and work. When getting supplies for my Open University course a couple of years ago I spotted these A4 file pockets in my local WH Smith and thought they would be perfect.
The pockets cost me around £3.50 from my local WH Smith store, they are available to purchase either in store or online. There are two different pack sizes you can buy, either 50 or 100, I bought the pack of 50 pockets.
The A4 pockets look exactly the same as other brands. They are made from transparent plastic and have a white section at the side which hosts a few holes so you can insert it into a ring binder. The pockets have an opening at the top where you can slide whatever paperwork you fancy into them.
The quality of the pockets is fantastic, I can remember using cheaper pockets at school and after putting a couple of pieces of paper inside them they would start to rip at the side with the holes. I haven't come across that problem with these ones from WH Smith. I can fit quite a lot of paper inside without it compromising the quality. Of course, as you start to put more and more paper inside they do get trickier to insert and the whole pocket will start to curve inwards if you put too much paper inside.
I first used my pockets for my Open University notes and it was a great way to keep notes for different assignments away from each other to stop them getting muddled. I used to stick a label on the front of each pocket so I could identify each different assignment, they stuck to the pockets without falling off. Now I'm having a break from study I've found the pockets are a great way of sorting out the normal household paperwork with different pockets being used for different bills.
I'd definitely recommend these A4 file pockets from WH Smith, although they are expensive compared to others, the quality is definitely way ahead of cheaper brands. I haven't had any split on me yet, despite filling some up more than I probably should have.
Summary: Worth the extra money
