A staple item in my home!
Member Name: MsTricia
Advantages: quite cheap, works great, doesn't jam
Disadvantages: none! does everything a stapler can do!
As someone who is always filing and storing paperwork, be it car insurance documents, tax forms, paid bills and receipts and also past coursework and essay assignments a stapler was an essential item for my home. I purchased my stapler from WHSmith about 2 years ago when we moved and I think at the time it cost around £3.99 but have seen stapler these days costing more!
The stapler I have is transparent, with the words WHSmith written in white along the side. It is of course a manual stapler, so by pressing the head and the base together with sheets of paper in between it works to staple pages together securely and effectively. It is extremely durable and I have a box of staples I purchased at the same time of about 2000 staples and I am yet to run out! The stapler is quite durable and has lasted all this time with no faults at all! I would say it comfortably staples together a good 7 pages of paper (not that I have had a need to staple more than this at one time anyway my essays were never that long!)
When staples run out it is simple and easy to refill with a new batch by lifting the top to reveal the slot the staples go in and insert a new row of staples to fill it. I have never had any issues with staples becoming jammed or not coming out properly with this stapler - issues I have occurred in the past with cheaper ones!
Overall this is a nifty stapler which has got longevity and for the price I paid it has been worth every penny! Our stapler at work often gets jammed and so I am currently trying to convince my boss to pop to WHSmith and buy some of their range out the budget as they're so much better! A box of accompanying staples from WHSmith also cost in the region of £3 but as these last forever you really are making a saving long term as it's a payment of about £7 I have made for over 2 years of usage! With this in mind I would definitely recommend it :)
Summary: great stapler from whsmith
