“ Manufacturer: Wilko / Type: Kitchenware - Pan Stand „
When I moved into my new flat (well not so new now I moved here in October now) I like many people decided I needed loads of new things for it. I never thought about space and/or clutter at all and went out and bought lots of things...many of them turned out to pointless...like this one.
Not because it isn't sturdy or that it isn't handy to put four pans on but because I have a small kitchen and it takes up too much room which is why I'm giving mine to my mate for her much larger kitchen.
This comes made up already which is handy for someone like me who simply has no patience to try and fathom things like this out but do be aware that now I think they come flat packed and that you have to actually pop them together yourself.
The stand measures:
So it comes in one colour option which is chrome/silver and that silver effect is nice, bright and shiny. It doesn't rust easy or scratch and enables you to put 4 pans, from largest at the bottom to going to smaller to the top of it. It has four little white rubber fet to the bottom of it to stop it slipping, great on my lamanate flooring and the places where you sit your pans on are round in shape and are decent in size. I didn't think this would be as sturdy as it is cos its so light but it is.
However like I stated earlier, for me this takes up to much room width wise more than anything in my kitchen and also you need a pan set that fits on it easily or pans get stuck and you end up having to mess about to get to them! I have a five pan set so I couldn't display and get to them all and I was always worried that someone would bang the stand and knock my top pan off which I wouldn't have been pleased about as my pan set is worth over £200! Yes in a bigger kitchen this is probably a good item to own. It looks nice and gives you extra storage and I have to admit it is very worth the ten pound I paid for it for quality alone but for me room wise and with the pans I have not so good!
