“ Brand: Bulk Buy Household / Type: Stain Remover / Category: Cleaning & Disinfectant „
With two small children I have tried my fair share of stain remover products as I'm forever having to get stains out bibs, clothing and bedding. I found vanish didn't always work and was expensive so when I saw ace stain remover in poundland I was sceptical to say the least.
Like I said I bought this from poundland so paid £1 for the 1litre bottle. Its also available in supermarkets too but you are likely to pay around £2 for it.
The product come in a tall green plastic bottle with a colourful label on the front which has the ace name on it. The bottle has a handle built into the bottle much like a milk bottle which makes it easy to carry and to pour.
The product is in a liquid form and is super easy to use. The lid of the bottle is the measuring cup that you use to measure out the correct amount of liquid needed to put in your wash, the instructions for the amount needed are printed on the label on the back of the bottle and depend on the size and soil of your wash load. Once you've poured the correct amount into the cap you tip it straight into the drum of your machine and into the washing. Then you wash as usual.
I've yet to find a stain that this does not remove, which really surprised me as it was such a cheap product. It works on all food stains, wine and even blood. The product is really gentle on the skin and I've used it on newborn clothes with no issue at all. It has a light clean scent that I find really appealing on clothes.
As well as in the wash I have also uses this product neat to remove stains on the carpet and it works brilliantly. You can see it working as the minute it hits the stain it creates a white foam which when you scrub it gently lifts the stain right off leaving the carpet nice and clean.
The product is approved by woolmark to use on woolmarked products provided you use it in accordance with the care instructions on the garment label.
Generally I tend to get about 10-12 washes from each bottle depending on was size so it works out around 10p a wash which isn't bad value at all in my opinion, not when it means i don't have to throw out clothes when they get stained.
Overall I've been so impressed with ace stain remover that its a product I repurchase each time I run out of it and have been doing so for at least a year. I would recommend it over any other stain remover and even have my mum using it too.
For £1 its well worth a try. 5 out of 5 stars.
