I bought this when it was on a half price offer in Morrisons. I never would have payed full price for it because I think these kinds of air fresheners are ridiculously expensive. The usual price for this one is about £9 depending on where you get it from, and the refills are about £5. Out of all the different scent options available (and after spending time sniffing the scratch and sniffs on the boxes), the only one that remotely appealed to me was the Vanilla Treat one, all the others just seemed really boring and samey.

It comes in plastic pack, the kind which usually take all day to get into, but they've made it easier by perforating part of the pack so you can just pull it open. Inside the outer pack is the unit and the refill. The unit is quite bit, as you would expect with it housing 3 different fragrances. the front of the unit is white plastic and the back is grey. There are 6 holes on the front, 3 near the bottom where you can see the bottles of fragrance through, and 3 at the top where the fragrance comes out of. On the back is the plug, which you just plug directly into a mains socket. Despite it being fairly big it does look quite neat and unobtrusive.

Before you can use the air freshener you need to set up the unit, which is simple. The refill is just 3 bottles of fragrance held together at the top by a piece of plastic. They each have a cap which needs to be removed to expose the wick, and then the refill is pushed up into the bottom of the unit. Then you can plug it in and switch it on. You can choose the strength of the fragrance by pushing a little button on the side, but you only have 2 options - 'min' or 'max'. Personally I think it would be better to have at least 3 options as I'd usually like it set somewhere in between these.

The disappointing thing for me was the actual fragrance. The fragrances are supposed to be inspired by freshly baked cakes, creamy hot drinks and warm inviting homes, though it doesn't say specifically what each scent is, but I normally love these types of scents. Unfortunately all I got from this was a kind of soapy scent which really wasn't pleasant, and I could not distinguish between the 3 scents at all, they just all smelt the same. The whole idea of the 3volution is that because it's changing through 3 different scents it's always noticeable, so the fact that they didn't smell any different to each other wasn't helpful.

On the back of the pack it says that a refill will last up to 90 days if you use it for 12 hours a day on the minimum setting, which if this is true would make it better value than it first seems as most air fresheners only last around a month. However I will not be buying this again as my experience of this fragrance set has put me off trying any more for a fiver a time. Very disappointing.
