I would regularly shop at Asda when it used to be my closest 24 hour supermarket during my stay at my precious flat but now I would only make occasional visits since I have moved into my new place (I now live extremely close to a Morrisons) One product that I always stuck in my shopping trolley, week in and week out, was the Asda 'Smart Price' Kitchen towels.

They retail at a bargain price of 72p for 4 rolls of normal size or £1.10 for 2 Jumbo rolls. I found that the jumbo rolls had more sheets and were slightly thicker so therefore went further. Although more expensive, I found that the Jumbo Rolls were better value. They come in see-through plastic packaging and have the distinct green and white 'Smart Price' logo. They also have the advantage of being 100% recycled, which is a huge plus in these green times!

One of the reasons that they are such a mainstay in my shopping trolley is that these rolls are so versatile. I use them to wipe up spills on the kitchen worktops but I also use them in the bathrooms when I am cleaning the sinks, toilets and surfaces. I use a product like Cif on these surfaces with a cloth and then use these towels to wipe away to a shiny finish. I usually find that two jumbo rolls can last up to a month with all of my varied uses for them.

As well as being very versatile, these rolls are extremely tough and durable. They don't rip and tear easily as soon as they come into contact with moisture - they hold firm and soak up quite a lot of moisture before they will crumble. I don't see any point in paying £2-£3 for a more expensive brand when an Asda product will do such an adequate job.

However, I personally try and avoid most 'Smart-Price' products - I would rarely purchase 'Smart-Price' foodstuffs - but I would definitely recommend this product. I understand if anyone reading this review would feel the same way about own brand products being cheap and unfortunately you will always alienate some of the market by being own brand, but this is one example of a product that is a 'smart' buy!

I would recommend these Kitchen Rolls to any consumer as they are good quality and excellent value for money. You hardly notice 72p or £1.10 on your shopping bill and the products last a while as they are hardly flimsy. I always try and buy in bulk now as my visits to Asda are more of a rarity these days!

Overall: recommend to anyone!
