Over the years I have become concerned about the products I use to clean my house as I appear to be building up a reaction to them. Not the sort of reaction whereby my hormones are going crazy and I have facial or the other half's voice is going higher(!) but whenever I use them in the bathroom etc they have made me feel nauseas and ill and make it difficult to breathe even with ventilation.
I also have decided to use only products that have not been tested on animals. Let me just say I eat meat, I don't always recycle - I have my moments but I do agree that products such as these should not be tested on animals.
I use the complete Astonish range - the stain remover is amazing - as they are excellent products that do the job AND they are priced very cheaply.
This anti-bacterial cleanser is fabulous. I use it everywhere and I mean everywhere - kitchen and bathroom sinks, tiles, floor tiles to clean up spills. I use it on the porcelain ware and the stove and oven in the kitchen and it works brilliantly. It works against all key bacteria that may be of a concern such as salmonella, e-coli & listeria and common germs that can easily infect your family and the food you cook.
There is a pleasant clean smell - nothing that lingers which is great but clean enough to make you feel it is working!
It is priced anything from £1 - £1.99 depending on where you go - we get ours at the local discount shop for 99p so even more impressive and appealing!
You can buy it in discount stores and Lakeland - however I have not seen it in my local supermarkets such as Tesco or Sainsburys.
A simple spray gun action allows you to distribute the spray directly and evenly.
There is no odour that is unpleasant and it doesn't leave my throat feeling dry and scratchy. More importantly, it doesn't make me feel ill and is safe to use around pets and children. Not to spray on them of course however my puppy did steal the sponge, chewed it and suffered no ill effects. This is because it is not a bleach product and therefore does not contain any toxic residues such as bleach products have. You can wipe the counters down and I always wipe them again to dry them - and you are safer to put food onto those surfaces and let kids and animals back into the room to play.
The only down side is you may need to use a tiny bit more than more expensive cleaners however not much more and I have not really noticed I need to buy the cleaner more often. Occasionally it can require a bit more elbow grease to clear some stubborn baked on dirt on say the stove.
The product is also biodegradable so if you are interested in that then there is the green appeal too.
The bottle describes this product as:
"A powerful but safe cleaner for use all around the home for a germ-free environment".
Pretty simple really and a rare gem to find a product that actually does what it says on the bottle.
To cap it all - good product, works anywhere, safe to use with children, not tested on animals and very important in today's economy - excellent value for money!
powerful but safe cleaner can be used all around the home and kills E.coli; Salmonella; Listeria and Streptococci.
