“ Brand: Avon / Type: Room & Linen Spray / Category: Home Fragrance „
This product doesn't seem to be in the main Avon book anymore but you can still find it now and again in the thinner sale booklet that sometimes comes with it. I paid 99p for it when it was on sale but it used to be about £3. You can still find it sometimes on eBay too.
The bottle is made of see-through plastic and has a clear lid with a spray pump. The label on the front is yellow with a picture of a banana on it. It says it is nourishing but I don't really understand this as you don't put it on your skin.
Directions for use:
Spray 2-3 times towards the centre of the room for maximum effect avoiding the face. Do not spray directly onto wooden furtniture.
The fragrance of the spray is very light so it is not overpowering and sickly. When you first spray it, you can smell just the banana but as it settles, the aroma of the coconuts comes out too. I smoke in my bedroom and this spray helps to hide the smell. I also spray it on to my bed coverings (duvet and sheet) so that they smell nice when I get into bed. The bottle is 125ml and I use mine weekly and I have had the bottle for about a year now so it does last for ages.
Unfortunately this fragrance seems to have disappeared from the main Avon book a couple of campaigns ago, but i've since spotted this in the extra sale book that you get with most Avon books. This is a thinner book and often has discounted items that are no longer in the main book.
This Room Spray is part of the Avon Naturals range, which consists of products such as shower gels, room sprays and body lotion. When this was in the main book the rrp of this was £3.50, but being Avon this was often on offer at 99p, £2 or 3 for £5 and so on. Although this product lasts for a good while, I don't think it is worth £3.50.
The bottle is an alright design, but nothing that fancy. The bottle is 125ml and a plastic pump action bottle. There is a wrap around lable which has a picture of a ripe Banana and a slice of Coconut. You only need 2-3 squirts of this to fragrance a room, or 4-5 to give a stronger smell. The smell lingers and when I spray this in the morning I can still smell it when I come back about 9 hours later.
The smell is lovely. I would say you smell the Banana a bit more than the Coconut. It smells nice and ripe and the Coconut smells tropical and fresh. My friend uses this in her Iron, as an Ironing water, but i've not used it this way as although I like the smell of this in a room, i'm not sure I would like my clothes to smell of this.
One of the nicest scents from the Avon Naturals Room Spray range
This is a room and linen spray from the "naturals" range of Avon Cosmetics.
It costs in the region of £3 for a 125ml Spray (though there are often deals or special offers that apply to the "naturals range" so it's often cheaper than this.)
The spray comes in a clear bottle, with a spray nozzle at the top and a plastic lid. The clear bottle is convenient as you can easily see how much you have left (assuming that you ever want to purchase this product again!!) Which brings me to my next point...
The scent of the spray is very over-powering, and I found it very sickly. I also felt that the scent didn't fade for ages, which is obviously a bonus if you like this scent, but for me, I couldn't get rid of it quick enough! I had to eventually open the windows and spray something else to try and get rid of the trace of bananas from my bedroom!
I'm unsure now why I thought it would be a good idea to spray something that smelled of bananas and coconut in my bedroom, but there you go.. I certainly won't be doing it again in a hurry!
That said, I am an Avon rep and I sell a lot of these room sprays and in the past the banana one was one of the most popular! I just found it so sweet and sickly that I didn't ever use it again. I much prefer to smell the scent of bananas when I am eating one, or when I am making a banana dessert!!
I'd recommend that you only use this if you have nothing else to spray, or if it is an emergency! (Although I can't really think of an emergency situation that would require an immediate aroma of banana's and coconut!)
There are a lot of room sprays available on the market these days, some nice and some which are horrendous and I wouldn't use them at all, however I have used some of Avon's Room and Linen Spray ans have been quite impressed with some of the fragrances however when I came across the Banana and Coconut Room and Linen Spray it is one that I have now started to use and will definitely not go back.
Rooms sprays especially plug in's can be a quite costly product especially if you have pets and you want all your rooms to smell nice, so Avon Room and Linen Spray is a cost effective way of keeping all your rooms smelling especially nice and for the price of under £2 most of the depending on what deals they have available, it is definitely worth stocking up and this product and I find that I don't keep mine in a cupboard I have one in every room so that I can spray whenever I go in.
They come in a clear plastic container which has pump on the top of it so you can squirt it into the room and the Banana and Coconut fragrance you do not have to go mad with as with just two pump actions it leaves the room smelling clean and fresh for up to a couple of hours. The sweet smell of the combination of Banana and Coconut is great and is you spray it on your linen it lasts a lot longer than a couple of hours, you can still smell it days after.
Avon do a couple of different frangrances of their room and linen spray however tghis fragrance is by far the best. they also do Shampoo, Shower Gel and Body Lotion to compliment the range and they are all equally as nice as each other, I would definitely recommend this products.
My house is always a very busy place, filled with people and animals all busy doing there thing. And this does not help me being always paranoid that my hosue does not smell fresh, so Im always looking for something to freshen up the air, and disperse the imaginalry odours I belive must be lingering there.
I regularly try Avon products, so this was one of my recent purchases. It sells for £3.50 for 125ml. It comes in a seethrough plastic pump spray bottle, and has a picture of coconuts and bananas on.
The smell is really quite nice, IF you like the smell of coconut. Some people could find it a bit too overwhelming. It does kind of bring up memories of suntan oil and beach, so in my opinion that is not bad!
The fragrance does not last long however, and it really is only intended for a quick burts of fragrance. For that reason I have found it a bit disappointing.
But if what you are looking for is a quick refresher, than this is the one for you!
