One of my friends is an Avon rep, so I've recently begun purchasing far too many of their products. I bought this room and linen spray on offer - four for £5 - because it was the perfect opportunity to try them out. Essentially it's air freshener that you can also use on curtains, sofas, etc.
The cherry blossom spray is the one that I've used the most of at the moment. It has a really sweet and fruity smell that, thankfully, is not sickly. It's more cherry than cherry blossom, but there is a floral edge to it.
The bottle label is a little nicer than the one that's currently on here - it's more subtle looking, so that from across the room all you can see is the flower picture on the spray bottle.
It sprays easily, although at first you have to spritz it quite a bit to activate it. Once it's started off though, it's really simple - just press down and point!
A little goes a long way, particularly if you space out where you spritz in the room - it's easy to get pretty good coverage of a whole room with just a couple of sprays.
What this spray is a real godsend for is covering kitty litter box smell. Cat owners will understand when I assure you that there's nothing quite like a stinky tray, and the smell hangs around even after you clean it out. This covers the smell. It actually works! I have yet to fine anything else which effectively covers the smell of cat poop without making my eyes water.
So, pet owners or relatives of smokers, this (or one of the other scents in the range) could be just what you need!
I have been ordering from the Avon catalogue through a friend for a good few months now. I often take advantage of the offers they put on, and this is why I decided to try out this cherry blossom room spray. Ordinarily, I would simply just pick up an air freshener in the supermarket, but I got this on a good deal and ended up hardly paying anything for it. I had heard many people rave about the Avon linen sprays, so I went ahead and got this because I thought the smell would be lovely.
As this is an Avon product, you have to order it through their catalogues. You can find your nearest Avon representative on their website. You can also order this from their online shop, but you will then be charged for delivery too. Let me start in saying that the 'normal' price of this spray is £4.00. However, nine times out of ten this won't be the true selling price, as Avon almost always cut their prices buy a quarter, half or even more sometimes. I picked this up on a deal where it was five items for £5 from a mixture of bath and body products. This meant I only paid £1.00 for this spray which is a really good deal, and a price I was happy to pay.
You get 125ml of spray in the bottle, which is relatively small compared to aerosol cans of air freshener. However, it is still a reasonable size and stores away easily. The spray comes in a clear plastic bottle, with pink labelling and information on the product. The liquid inside is also clear in colour. The lid removes easily, and I have had no troubles in using the dispenser to spray this which is good.
To use this, Avon state that you just need to spray this two to three times in the centre of a room. However, I find myself spraying around ten or so times depending on the size of the room. I also like to spray it into different sections of the room rather than just the centre. As this is a linen spray also, I simply spray it directly on to bed sheets and fabric chairs in the house. It is really simple to use, and it is up to you how much you wish to spray it.
The most important thing about this product is obviously its scent. This is cherry blossom scented, so as you can imagine it is very fruity and floral. I have to admit that the smell is sickly sweet, but I absolutely love it. It is definitely one for the ladies, as my boyfriend thinks it is far too sweet! Because of this, I would not recommend it for use all over the house. I personally just like to use this in my bedroom and the rooms upstairs in our house. The scent could perhaps be a little overpowering for a living room or dining area, where I prefer to use muskier scents. It is very, very girly in its fragrance, so I possibly would not recommend this to a male dominant household! But as I love fresh, fruity and sweet scents this is right up my street!
Unfortunately, the only problem I faced with this room and linen spray is that it does not tend to last too long. When I compare it to aerosol air fresheners, I find that this does not perform as well in how long it lasts. Apart from this however, I could not fault it.
Overall, this is a lovely room and linen spray from Avon, which I would happily recommend to those who love sweet and girly smells. It does stick on to linen well, however as a room spray it does not last too long. But considering I only paid £1.00 for this, I am really happy as it fills the room with a gorgeous cherry blossom scent which I absolutely love. Four stars for this spray, and I would recommend you look at the Avon room sprays in other scents if this isn't the one for you. Thanks for reading.
