      good product

As a professional tradesman I am always looking for good quality materials to use on projects that I am working on.

I used the B & Q quick drying clear floor varnish for interior use. I have used many floor vanishes in the past, however, I always find that water based varnishes like the B & Q water based varnish is of better quality due to the drying time. I normally find that drying time is round about an hour, however, this does depend on the room temperature.
This varnish does not seem to change the colour of the wood after sanding the floor down to a fine finish. I think that the varnish does bring out the grain in the wood which I personally like and think it looks nice. There was a choice of finishes, however, I chose the satin finish which gave the floor a semi gloss finish.
Unlike some of the oil based varnishes, being water based the smell of it was not to overpowering either which is a bonus. This varnish has given the floor a really clear tough finish which I hope will last for quite a few years. There are a few different finishes such as pine which I have yet to use.
Overall I would recommend this product as it is not that expensive at £24.98 and I have found it very easy to use.
