I absolutely hate cleaning so anything that helps me get the job done quickly and effectively works for me!
I was recently in my local Poundland store and was incredibly surprised that this was on offer at 2 bottles for just a pound....yes you read that right and you could mix and match it and get a kitchen one as well........which is what I did. I'm still surprised at getting this from such a well known brand for that price and when I told my Mum she sent me back to get her some too!
The packaging of these cleaners (be it this one or the kitchen cleaner) is really good quality, well thought out and easy to use. It is a clear bottle and with a dark blue and frosted white plastic trigger action sprayer to the top of it and it has a safety piece of plastic that you can twist to on and off positions which is great for those of you that have inquisitive children! On the front of the bottle there is a dark blue label on there and a picture shown of a sparklingly clean looking bathroom and we are told that it is Johnson Brillo Bathroom & Toilet 'Remove soap scum and water marks' and that it 'Cleans to a brilliant shine', is from the makers of Mr Muscle and is 500ml in size. Turn the bottle around and on the back of that front label we are told a bit about the product and directions for use are stated and we are told where we should use it, the ingredients are given and contact details for the manufacturer are clearly stated. Simple bottle, not too heavy (an important aspect for me) and the information given is clearly laid out and too wordy or hard to understand.
To use this is ever so simple! The liquid that is sprayed out is clear and looks like water with a pleasant aroma which is quite light and fresh and a bit lemony I think. The fragrance isn't that strong with this one though I like it, it doesn't linger in my bathroom for long after using it, which actually doesn't bother me as long as I know the room is clean and there is no nasty odours in there and and I usually light a Yankee Candle in there when I've cleaned it anyway!
So I use this pretty much everywhere in my bathroom. One or two sprays of this at arms length is what I use for most jobs, on stubborn stains I spray some on and leave it a couple of minutes then I wipe, this doesn't need rinsing off unless you prefer to do it that way.
I spray my tiles, on mirrors and even on glass, over my plastic bath, ceramic sink and in and around my toilet and I find this is simply marvelous stuff!
This gets rid of watermarks, soap marks and general grease, grime and scum easily. It doesn't smear on my mirrors and glass and simply brings things up really clean. I wipe down my wooden, painted bits including my skirting boards, even wipe the lino with it and it doesn't make it slippy and I love the fact that I only need one bottle of something for one room!
The only draw back with this that I can see is that it isn't anti-bacterial but I do like the fact that it doesn't contain bleach which so I don't get my clothes ruined with it and I use a dab of bleach where I want to when I feel the need anyway!
This is a fantastic product for me. I like the design of the bottle, the light scent and its effectiveness and even at the RRP of £1.69 I I would probably buy it again as a bottle simply lasts me ages anyway as I don't need much of it!
Available in all good supermarkets and discounts stores and it really is recommended from me!

I bought a bottle of Brillo toilet and bathroom cleaner some time ago primarilly to keep my loo looking clean and fresh. I use other products for my bathroom suite itself but wanted something formulated for use against germs and tend to use this mainly on my toilet seat, its cover and on the toilet itself. Brillo are perhaps better known for their soap filled cleaning pads but are a well known name in the cleaning industry so for around £1.50 for a 500ml bottle I didn't think it was a too bad price to pay to have another item in my cleaning cupboard ready for me to reach for as and when needed. My bottle has been on the go for a few months now and in the time I've been using it I've found it to be an effective cleaner that leaves both the plastic of my loo seat and the porcelain of my toilet looking sparkling clean.
Brillo bathroom & toilet is a clear liquid which comes in a spray trigger bottle, made by Johnson's and from the Mr Muscle family of cleaners it's a general bathroom cleaner that has a freshly aromatic fragrance that leaves behind a freshly-cleaned smell once it has been used. It sprays from the bottle as a white soapy liquid and Brillo claim that it 'cleans to a brilliant shine'. In use I've found it to be very good at removing any toilet marks or stains and is a product that does live up to its manufacturers claims. I have used this on my bath tub and sink as well as the taps and on my tiles in my bathroom and have found that it easily wipes off and leaves behind a sparkling finish that you can tell has just been cleaned. I like the fragrance of this one, in use it's not harsh and has a light, airy aroma which tends to linger for a few minutes although isn't perhaps as long-lasting as some other cleaners and is mainly why I stick to using this just for my loo now as I prefer cleaning products that have a longer lasting, fresh clean smell when they have been used. I use my Brillo cleaner mainly on my loo before adding toilet gel and find that it works well in conjunction with other products, it doesn't leave behind any chalky residue and in my experience with it I've found that it leaves surfaces streak free. I don't think it's as powerful as other products in the Mr Muscle range and although this is 'Brillo' branded and not really a Mr Muscle product in itself I see it more as something to use alongside something else as I don't just use this on it's own.
For what it is Brillo's Bathroom & Toilet cleaner is good but I don't think it's the best product available and because I don't get the same 'just-cleaned' reassurance I get from other products I wouldn't really be in a rush to buy this one again once my bottle is empty. I don't think it offers anything new or different and whilst its fragrance is pleasant I think it's perhaps a little weak in comparison to the likes of Flash or Dettol, I can't grumble too much about its price though and for someone who wants a 'lighter' product this may be ideal however for me I like to use something a little stronger in my bathroom that leaves behind a more prominent clean smell. That said it's certainly a lot, lot better than the Wizz bathroom cleaner I reviewed recently and if this was available at a really cheap price or on offer I'd buy it again but as it generally retails for a rrp of £1.69 I'd rather pay that sort money on something from the Flash or Dettol range.
Brillo bathroom & toilet perhaps isn't as 'Brill' as it could have been but overall it's a decent product that I've found to be useful, there's nothing about it that sets it apart from the competition though so my three star rating here means that for me it's an above average product for an average price. Recommended but not only cautiously, thanks for reading my review.,
