When it comes to Cif so many people either call it jif or comment on the fact they still can't get used to calling it Cif. I actually think I prefer the name Jif, but oh well, I guess we can't live in the past!


The price is usually £2.36 for a 500ml bottle. The price has increased a lot in the past few years. At one point the price of Cif was less than £1.50.


There are two types of Cif cleaning cream. The cream comes in white or yellow. Out of the two creams I do actually prefer the white original Cif one because as strange as it sounds it's only down to the color of the cream. I sound so picky! But as you would probably expect the lemon Cif is yellow and the original is white. This is the only reason I prefer the white one.

The Cif cream is chalky in its texture, this means unlike the Cif Actifizz cleaning solution, you must use a bit of elbow grease and work the cream into the surface you have applied it on in order to get rid of the chalkiness. I recommend using a cloth that has been rinsed in hot water or a sponge.

The manufacturer's instructions for use are very simple:
Apply to surfaces using a damp sponge or cloth then simply wipe over and gently rinse away.

What I love about this product is a little bit of this cream does go along way. I am always cleaning so it is quite important to me that the product lasts a long time as it does save me a lot of money.

I use this cream in both my bathroom and kitchen. However, I find it most useful on my cooker. I have a vitroceramic hob so sometimes I find myself trying to get touch stains off it and nothing else seems to work other than this and stardrops!
After I cleaned the hob with this cream and a damp cloth I always dry it with a paper towel in order to ensure there is no streaks.

Cif has so many other products out now. One of my favorite products Cif has produced is the Actifizz. This is really easy to use because as I mentioned earlier it comes in a spray bottle, which I must admit I do prefer because it is much easier to use and apply onto surfaces.

Overall, I do really like the Cif cream, it does a good job at cleaning my kitchen and bathroom the only aspects of the product I don't like is the colour of this particular cream (so picky) and the fact it comes in a non spray bottle.
