The Product = = = = = = Cif Oxy Wipes are a more convenient way to clean the bathroom or kitchen, rather than having to use a trigger spray and a cloth. The wipes combine powerful cleaning agents and active oxygen for a deep cleaning that helps to remove dirt to leave surfaces clean and smelling naturally fresh. The wipes comes in plastic packaging which is quite flat so is really convenient to store in a cleaning cupboard. The pack contains a total of 60 regular sized wipes that have what they call an Ocean scent to them. The packaging is a light blue/green colour to match with the ocean scent of the product. On the front of the packet it states that the wipes give a brilliant clean and shine which are suitable for both the kitchen and the bathroom. The Cif logo in on the front of the pack in large lettering so there is no confusion over whom this product is made by. On the back of the packaging it states that the product is a Unilever product. It also tells you a little about the wipes and how to use them. This information is printed in another language as well. It also gives you warning and precaution information as well. I actually picked these wipes up as I thought they would be quicker for wiping the kitchen surfaces down, rather than having to use a spray and cloth. Price/Availability = = = = = = = = I purchased a pack of these from my local Poundland store; how-ever you can also purchase them from all good supermarkets and some local shops. Prices may very in different stores at different time of the year. Using the Product = = = = = = = = = Break the seal on the front of the packet and open by peeling the sticker halfway. Carefully take a wipe out from the pack and use on the appropriate surface to clean it and leave it with a fresh, clean smell. Ensure the pack is resealed afterwards to avoid the wipe from drying out. The sticker was easy to pull back slowly and as soon as I did this I could see the wipes neatly folded in the packet. They were white in colour and have a fresh smell to them. I pulled one of the wipes out which wasn't a problem and then used it to wipe the surface down in the kitchen at work. Although there is only one person at work whom drinks coffee they never seem to wipe up the coffee spills they sometimes make. If anyone has to wipe it up it's always me. The wipe felt wet but not soaking wet and was damper than anything else. I wiped the top of the surface with the wipe using a little bit of pressure form my hand. I could see where the wipe had been as the surface now appeared slightly shiny. I wiped over the coffee spills again and with a slight rub here and there they were gone. I didn't have to rub too hard at the coffee stains before they had vanished. As the surface in the kitchen as works was quite dirty, I actually used 2 of these wipes and I could see the amount of dirt it had actually picked up. The surface now looked, clean and shiny and the ocean smell from the wipes gave the kitchen a fresh, clean smell. I have also used these to wipe out the microwave and it does a good job of removing stuck on food with a little rubbing. I haven't used these in a bathroom so I can comment on how good these are to use in that area, how-ever I would feel confident that they do just as good job as they do in the kitchen. I have also used the wipes to wipe the plastic bin down and for the table in the kitchen at work. Overall Opinion = = = = = = = = The wipes are really convenient and are easy to store due to the flat packaging. These are much more convenient and easier to use than using a spray and cloth. The wipes do a great job of leaving the kitchen at work looking clean and smelling fresh and the reseal able label means the wipes stay fresh and don't dry out. I use a few wipes a week to clean the kitchen area at work so this pack will last me a good few weeks or at least 1 month before I have to purchase anymore of these. When it comes to stuck on food I think a spray would be quicker than the wipes as I think this would remove the food a lot quicker due to you being able to spray the stuck on food directly rather than just having to rub it with the Oxi wipe. I think these are great value for money and I will be buying them again. I wouldn't only use this for the kitchen at work but I would also purchase them for the home as well. I highly recommend this convenient cleaning product to others. I'm not giving the product the full 5 stars as you do need to rub a lot with the wipe in order to get dry/stuck on food off and I think a spray would remove the stuck on food a lot quicker than the wipe would. Other Information = = = = = = = = = * Keep out of reach of children * Avoid contact with the eye or irritated skin * Not for personal use * Do not flush down the toilet * Do not use on marble * Avoid prolonged contact with painted wood. I always use wipes to give the surfaces and floor in my kitchen a quick clean, however I am not loyal to any brand and tend to just buy whatever is on offer or whatever I can find in the pound shop. I normally go for citrus smelling ones but recently I came across these in the pound shop, and since the packet said it contained 60 wipes I thought it was a bargain and immediately put them in my basket. The wipes come in the usual flat plastic packet with a peel off sticker on the front from under which you can pull out your wipes one at a time. The packet is turquoise blue and has the usual Cif logo on the front. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with these wipes and wont be purchasing them again. Upon using one of the wipes I noticed that they are very moist and seem to foam/bubble when you use them, which annoyed me slightly when cleaning as I didnt want to leave bubbles everywhere on my hob etc. I also found that the wipes are very very thin, you do get 60 in a packet but thats because you need to use three times as many to clean your surfaces. They do have a nice clean and fresh smell to them however, and they do seem to clean well. However any amount of scrubbing or vigorous rubbing and the wipes just seem to fall apart. As well as being quite thin they are also small, normally wipes fold out to be alot bigger than these ones. Overall I wouldnt recommend them, they are cheaply priced at only £1 from the pound shop, but there are others available for the same price that are alot better. Dont be fooled by the amount you get in a packet, as you have to use twice as much anyway. They are good however just for mopping up little spillages or tea stains from your worktop.
I often use CIF oxy-wipes with active oxygen to wipe the surfaces and floors of my kitchen and my bathroom. I also use these for the living room even through they are actually made for the kitchen and bathroom. One wipe seems to go a long way and manages to clean tough dirt. The CIF oxy-wipes with active oxygen contain 60 regular wipes in a pack. These wipes can be used for deep cleaning the kitchen and bathroom. The packet is reseal able and I think this is good as the wipes will remain damp and it avoids the wipes drying out. It is advised on the packet that the wipes should not be flushed down the toilet as it can block it! The wipes should also not be used on marble or painted wood. However, I have been using it to wipe the laminate floors and so far the wipes have not done any damage or reduced the shining of the laminate flooring. The CIF oxy-wipes with active oxygen are good value for money. At the time of writing this review, I have found that the CIF oxy-wipes with active oxygen are sold for the cheapest price at Tesco for price of £1. It is sold for £2.04 at Tesco and Asda. I really like the scent of the CIF oxy-wipes. The CIF oxy-wipes are ocean scented and the fragrance of the wipes is not too overpowering but is long lasting. CIF oxy-wipes with active oxygen also contains <5% non-ionic surfactants, oxygen-based bleaching agents and perfume. The wipes are not suitable for contact with irritable skin so I would recommend using gloves when you use the wipes. I would really recommend that you try out these wipes as they are of excellent quality.
Cif Oxy-Wipes Ocean I'm sure many of us have a stash of cleaning products that we reach for when it's time to freshen up our homes, there's so many different products available to buy and and at times you can be spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding what to spend your cash on, in one of my kitchen cupboards I have an array of sprays and wipes that I've bought to clean my home with and regularly buy something just because it's on special offer or on promotion knowing that eventually it will get used. With the choices available it's sometimes hard knowing what to buy, do you get something that's formulated specifically for a kitchen and then a seperate product for your bathroom or are all anti-bacterial sprays and wipes the same? it's a lucrative buisness for the cleaning product manufacturers and sometimes you can be fooled by the claims on the packaging and end up paying twice for something just because you are told it's for a specific room in your home. Cif Oxy-Wipes are somewhat different to other products that are available in that they are promoted for being suitable for use in both the kitchen and bathroom and my pack of the 'Ocean' variety is something that I reach for when I want to give my kitchen and bathroom surfaces a quick wipe over just to keep them looking clean and fresh. As shown in my picture the wipes are presented in a resealable plastic pack and are formulated with "powerful cleaning agents and active oxygen. They effectively remove tough dirt to leave your surfaces clean and naturally fresh" according to the manufacturers claims on the pack and you get 60 wipes for your money. The transparent seal is easily pulled away from the pack and getting to the wipes is straightforward, they are rectangular in shape and white in colour with the cleaning agents that go into their production being impregnated into the weave of the wipe which is moist to the touch. There's no real smell to the wipes other than a faint 'fresh' aroma which is slightly noticeable and I would say that each wipe is just the right size to give a decentish amount of coverage when used on your kitchen or bathroom surfaces. Whilst the wipes are quite moist they're not wet through and there's no need to wear rubber gloves when using them unless you have really sensitive skin on your hands or have had problems with similar products in the past. Although Cif claim that these will provide a deep clean I find that they're far more suitable just for wiping up any spillages or for the removal of coffee stains that may appear on my kitchen worktop, I certainly don't think that they provide anywhere near the level of cleaning as a spray tends to do as the wipes do tend to dry out rather quickly when they are used for just a few seconds and I don't feel as if I've done a thorough enough job if I use these on their own. They're good for removing any dust that you might find on your bathroom suite and I tend to use mine to wipe over my toilet cistern and bathroom taps just to spruce them up and make them look shiny but I don't think they go anywhere near the level of cleanliness as an anti-bacterial spray. The 'fresh' fragrance that Cif say is left behind once a wipe has been used is in acutual fact non-existant and again I never feel as if I've done a good enough job if I use these on their own as I like the reassurance that everywhere has been cleaned by the fresh smell a cleaning product usually leaves behind. Whilst it may appear generous that Cif provide 60 wipes in a pack you would have to use quite a few if you were going to tackle a full kitchen and bathroom with these as one wipe doesn't cover a huge surface area before it dries out and I do find that they're prone to leaving behind streaks and smears if I use them on my worktop savers I have in my kitchen. All in all I would say that these are fine if used in conjunction with something else or if theres a spillage that needs wiping clear but I certainly wouldn't rely soley on these to give my home a thorough clean and even though they are dual purpose and can be used in both a kitchen and bathroom I don't think they offer the level of cleaning a direct spray does so I would say that they're pretty disappointing really. Overall I do think that cleaning wipes are a good idea but these could be a lot better than they are, they do hold their shape when in use and don't split or tear easily but they're not as powerful as Cif claim and I certainly wouldn't replace my kitchen and bathroom sprays for these or use them on their own. For the price they cost to buy, usually around a couple of pounds per pack I think they're OK but they're nothing special and I wouldn't go out of my way to give them a glowing recommendation. Thanks for reading my review.
If like me you absolutely hate cleaning then you will be looking for any products that can help to make your life that little bit easier and spotted the recent increase cleaning wipes on the market but with so many out there are Cif one of those brands you can trust? Pros: There are a huge amount of cleaning wipes on the market nowadays that all offer the same basics when it comes to cleaning but thankfully Cif wipes offer something a little bit different thanks to the use of active oxygen added to the powerful cleaning agents that you would expect from such a well known cleaning brand like Cif. The cleaning quality on offer from these wipes is exceptional and these are really good for cleaning on things like microwaves or cookers as they remove the dirt that other wipes would not manage to. The cleaning wipes are designed to easily remove tough dirt and grime without the need for hard scrubbing and thankfully this is exactly what they deliver for you which means that your cleaning is easier, quicker and much simpler as you simply bin the wipes once they are used. For those who like me have a small home then space saving is something you are always thinking about and these allow you to do this as they are in small packs that you can store in a drawer rather than needing to have a cupboard to store spray and cloths. The wipes offer the easiest way for you to ensure that you have the best hygiene standards possible as once you have captured the grime, germs and dirt you are getting rid of it by binning it. When you use a spray and cloths you always run the risk of germs and bacteria remaining on the cloth which will then breed quickly. The wipes are very good value for money with a pack of 60 wipes available for about £2 in most supermarkets but if you keep an eye out in places like Poundland you will on occasion have a pack available for £1 and you still getting the same product and same number of wipes a pack. The packaging is very good as it it resealable which ensure that you keep the wipes moist and so at their most effective for when you need to use them. This is something which is simple but I like as I enjoy having that piece of mind that when I go to use a wipe I know they are going give the same cleaning quality as when I purchased them. After cleaning with these wipes your kitchen will feel clean and smell fresh which is great as it makes you more likely to cook for yourself (I know a lot of people look at their kitchen and see it needs cleaned and can't be bothered so just order in each night) and so save money whilst eating healthier. Negatives: None Overall these are very good cleaning wipes that allow for a quick and easy way to keep your surfaces both clean and free of bacteria and germs which can build up unseen. The wipes pick up the dirt and grime that can build up no matter how hard you try to keep things from spilling on surfaces and once they have the dirt and grime on them you simply bin them which ensures that you are not keeping germs around on cleaning wipes you re-use and thus allowing for them to breed. Great value for money and a resealable pack all make for something well worth having as part of your cleaning regime.
The product comes in a packet that says "60 wipes". When it says this it actually means 30 wipes but there is a perforated line down the middle of each wipe so that it can be torn in half. It explains this as " 60 regular or 30 maxi". Each wipe has the constency of a baby wipe - sort of thick spongy tissue consistency. The wipes come in an easy access packet, with a sticky "flap" that can be lifted a resealed easily after getting a wipe out of it. The wipes are supposed to be for use both in the kitchen and the bathroom, however it is not an anti-bacterial product. The product that the wipes are soaked in is very similar to the original cif liquid. I find that the wipes clean very effectively however can leave a slightly chalky residue, which is something that I've found with other cif products also, and I think this this lets it down really. The smell is nice and fresh, but overall I think that there are better products on the market. They do tend to be slightly cheaper than other cimilar products however.
When it comes to cleaning, my wife and I have very different approaches to the job. My wife likes to get out a few different cleaning products to cover every job needing done and some fresh cloths and of she goes but with me I like the lazy approach. The lazier and easier way to clean is with cleaning wipes and my favourite ones right now are the Cif Oxy wipes, the ones I use are known as Oxy ocean, I guess they are meant to be scented like the ocean but all I can say is they smell very nice. You get 60 wipes in a packet, which is actually thirty large wipes with perforations to allow them to easily become 60 smaller wipes and I always use them in their smaller form as it is large enough, the packet will typically cost between £1.80 and £2 depending on where you shop but my local poundland has been stocking these for a while now so look out for bargains. The wipes are strong and tough and do a great job of cleaning many different surfaces, I use them on worktops, cupboard doors and all over the tiles surfaces in both my bathroom and kitchen and the good thing about these is that although they do leave a lingering scent they do not taste foods when used on chopping boards or worktops. My wife never uses these as she claims they are not the same as a fresh cloth and a cleaning product but to me that is exactly what each one is, a fresh cloth with already applied cleaning fluid, GENIUS!!
I have a pack of these handy in my room at university. I don't have time to thoroughly clean everything all the time, so at least with these i can easily and simply wipe over my desk and shelves quickly with a wipe. They are great for easy cleaning. They smell strongly and have 60 wipes per pack, so you do get a lot for your money! I didn't actually get the blue ones but got the yellow lemon ones. They have quite a weird smell which I really hated at first, but is bareable now i have got used to it, but i wouldn't say it makes my room smell nice at all. It effortlessly leaves my surfaces clean, with no wipe marks or being too wet for too long and no stickiness which is great.. Cif is quite a well known brand so I trusted this when I bought the wipes. It claims to give you unbeatable cleaning and shine and is for the kitchen and bathroom. However, I use them on all my surfaces. I dont have the money to use millions of different cleaning products for different things, so these wipes are great. They are very moist so clean well. Easy to dispose, you just throw them into a bin, no reuse. The resealable flap on the packet has last me quite a while too and doesn't tend to peel off even though I have used it quite a lot. The packaging is bright and eye catching in either bright blue or yellow, quite clean fresh colours. The wipes claim to be with 'active oxygen' in, whatever that means and have an image of bubbles going round a circle round the logo. I would reccomend these but I dont really like the smell. I suppose any other anti bacterial wipe would be just as effective really. Though it is good that they keep so moist, unlike supermarket own brands.
I can be described as a lazy cleaner. I know it needs done in the house, but that doesn't mean I want to scrub away all day trying to do it. I tend to rely on Kitchen wipes, as although they may be a little pricer than a bottle of cleaner, they are so much more handy, and if you buy them on an offer, then they aren't that expensive really. I use quite a lot of Cif products, and i've used these wipes for about 2 years. The normally cost up to £2 per pack for 60 large wipes, but I got a pack on offer at tesco a month ago for 89p. The packaging isn't that exciting. It is a plastic type pouch and fits the wipes snugly. The colouring is greens and blues, with soe white swirled in. Probably to go with the Ocean theme. The cif brand is large on the front of the pack and there is a couple of little pictures on the front to say where to use these. On the pack it states that these can be used in Kitchens and Bathrooms. To get into the wipes, you rip open a part on the front. This is sticky and seals back up again to prevent the wipes drying out. Although the pack says it has 60 wipes in it, there are 30 large wipes, and they come in all 1 sheet. The sheet splits down the middle easily, as it is perforated, and this makes it 60 smaller wipes. I tend to use these as smaller, as they seem more manageable. They are still a good size though. I like the scent of these. They do smell nice and Ocean-y. Just a bit like sea water and the salty air. The scent lingers on the area you've wiped with these, and it doesn't taint food or stain. So where do I use these? Mostly on the cupboard doors, worktops, cutting board and just all around the kitchen. I have used these over my bathrom tiles, but I prefer to use Cif Mousse here, so I stick to using in the kitchen. The wipes are pretty wet, strong and durable and I think they clean well, give a good scent and a slight sheen to the area. A good buy in my book. Makes the cleaning quicker and easier.
First of all i must tell you that the review i'm doing, is for Cif Oxy wipes, but not for the Ocean smelling ones like in the picture as dooyoo didn't have any reviews on the lemon scented ones, which i use :) I first discovered these wonder wipes as i like to call them, some years back when i was still living at home, my mum used to buy them and thought they where a great idea. If she had gone out and me and my sisters where asked to do 'our' bit for the house i would volunteer to wipe down the surfaces and get chance to use these wipes, as there so versatile to use. When i first got my own house i was forever cleaning the place from top to bottom making sure not one spec of dust was left, as a did want to be house proud, that was Ok, but then after having my daughter i found i didn't have all the time i used to have before so cleaning slowly crawled further and further down my list of things to do. Shopping in the supermarket one day i came across the wipes that my mum had used them years ago, being on offer i grabbed a couple of packs. They are so handy and easy to use even for me, and the lazy house wife i was becoming, i used them to wipe down kitchen surfaces, cupboards, sinks, doors, the bathroom, literally everywhere! Being lemon scented they left a gorgeous fresh lemony smell, that didn't over power, but did the job just right. They left my kitchen taps and sink shinning, and surfaces clean. Another handy tip is how i use them to wipe the kids toy's down with, they don't contain harsh bleach,so are safe to use, even on toy's with batteries etc. Being a wipe you wouldn't think they would do much in terms of cleaning throughly but they got grime and dirt off most things and you could see the results straight away. The wipes come in a handy resealable packet and there are 60 small wipes or 30 larger ones, just simply take out which size you need and reseal to keep the wipes moist and longer lasting. The perfect solution for busy mums
****Cif oxy-wipes**** Packaging Green seal able packaging with wipes How to use Break the seal and open by peeling off the sticker halfway.Make sure that the pack is resealed after use to avoid the wipes drying out.Dead simple :-). These apparently offer deep cleaning for kitchen and bathroom but i use them in my bedroom as well. They are great for cleaning light switches, getting rid of sticky marks or just cleaning a surface. They have a nice smell as well, the one i get says ocean on it Price- Around 1.50 . and you get sbout 30 wipes in a pack which can be split in 2 so-60 wipes in the packet I think this is worth it if you want to give something a quick wipe, very handy as you can wipe it and put these in the bin. They don't take up very much space either so good if you don't have a lot of space.I wouldnt say they offer deep cleaning but they leave your taps looking shiny and the areas you use them on clean.
First of all I must admit I'm not the best housekeeper out there. When I'm in a supermarket I walk along the aisles with countless bottles, boxes and packs which are supposed to make your home clean and nice-smelling and I just don't understand why I'd need three different products to clean bathroom, kitchen and windows. Our grandmoms managed to do it all with a soap bar and a wet wipe, and it was all right! For me, Cif Oxy wipes is that magic all-in-one product which I can use in any part of the house. The package says that this product is for kitchen and bathroom, but I use it pretty much everywhere: on furniture, window frames etc. There is a warning that you should not use it on marble and should avoid prolonged contact with painted wood. Well that's not a problem: there's no marble in my house and I dust painted wood very quickly :) The pack contains 30 maxi wipes or 60 regular wipes: you can divide a large wipe in two. The pack costs around £2 and lasts for quite a long time. The 'ocean' smell is a usual smell you'd expect from a cleaning product: not really pleasant, but not disgusting too. The wiped surfaces don't smell which is good. I never wear rubber gloves when I use Cif Oxy wipes, and there is no irritation to hands. For me the best thing about Oxy wipes is the no-fuss usage. You just take a wipe out of pack and discard it after use. Fast, simple and effective. Of course you can't do a spring-clean with a pack of Oxy wipes, but it's a handy product which helps in daily housekeeping routine.
