I'm not a big follower of CILLIT bang, it's not BARRY's fault, it's no one fault really, it just is not a product I can shout from the rooftops from because the results fail me every time. Somehow a small voice tells me try this you never know! -Bad voice.
So I purchased it and used it and then put at the back of the cupboard after a number of persistent tries.
I followed the instructions to the letter and left the product on for the recommend time and washed off with the correct temperature of water as advised, yes, I was determined this would work and prove me wrong.
This is suitable I would say for light removal of dirt and grime but not tough marks like limescale that can form around the taps and shower parts.
This didn't smell very nice and so that meant the shower didn't either. This left a bit of a residue as well.
The pink marks were a little more trouble to remove than the dirt and grime we'd put it down for!
Far dues to the company though, they do like you to get your monies worth. This is only £3 in most stores depending where you buy. The can is huge and so this does last long. The nozzle is very good [never thought I ever write that] but that means the coverage is very good and you don't spend forever spraying everything as this covers the works.
Although not for me, I hope it works for others. x
My husband and I have just bought our first house. Yes we are used to moving house fairly frequently and houses are never particularly clean when we move in and on this occasion it was no different.
Wanting to get the bathroom as clean as possible as quickly as possible I perused the cleaning aisle in my local Tescos. I noticed this Cilit Bang Bathroom cleaner. I was £3 and looked exciting. I like the bright bold packaging and the advert ‘bang and the dirt is gone’ seems to have really worked for me and as a result I bought this product.
Cilit Bang Active Foam Bathroom cleaner is really easy to use. You simply shake the can well, hold the nozzle down and then cover your bathroom with the foam. Wait a few moments and wipe clean. It is effective with soap scrum and small lime scale build ups around taps and plugholes.
The main drawback I would say for this product is that the head is so big it is hard to direct the foam exactly where you want it meaning you end up cleaning more than you want to. However, this is a main selling point on the can saying that you can cover a large area.
I have not used a foam before when cleaning the bathroom but I am glad that I picked this one. I like how the foam makes a crackling sound and makes you feel like I really is actively cleaning for me. I would recommend this product to anyone.
I have always been a fan of Cif as I remember my mum using it when I was a child however when I recently moved house I wanted to give our old place a good top to toe clean and also clean our new place so was searching for something which would really go to work on the bathroom rather than just a nice clean.
Someone suggested that I give Cilit Bang shower foam a go because I was complaining that the limescale was difficult to shift with my showerhead, they were even kind enough to give me a 600ml can which they had bought on offer. The can is usually £3.50 but they had managed to get it in a buy one get one free deal so passed one on to me, I’ve been using it ever since.
This stuff is so easy to use and where as I usually get into the bath and scrub away with my Cif cream, with the Cilit Bang you just cover the area in the foam ( make sure you have about a 30cm spraying distance) and then leave it. Personally I like to spray it on and leave it for about 20 minutes, although after 10 minutes the results are amazing.
The foam melts away and becomes more of a liquid which you can then just shower off, simple as that, no scrubbing, no getting into the bath on your hands and knees like I had been doing!
The bath and shower are left shiny and clean looking with a nice fresh scent, it is great if you don’t have much time to dedicate to cleaning, let’s face it we all have better things we could be doing don’t we!
I still scrub clean the bath once a month using a bleach, I have to say though this isn’t necessary and the only reason I do it is that my other half is a grubby engineer who brings in lots of oil and muck!
I am totally converted to Cilit Bang now and highly recommend it to others.
I remember when the first Cillit bang spray came out about 8 years ago now and I loved it as soon as used it. I recently saw this Cillit bang active foam for soap scum and shower being advertised so though I'd give it a try.
You can find this in most major supermarkets costing £3.00 - £3.50. It is a big can in the unique purple and pink colours. The can size is 600ml.
To use this shake the can well and hold about 30cm away from area to be cleaning and press down on the nozzle on top. It sprays out covering a wide area, just move it about so you are covering entire area to be cleaned with a layer of the white foam. It is slightly scented just of a cleaner smell no fancy scent to it. After spraying you leave it a minimum of 2 minutes upto 10 minutes depending on how dirty the bathroom is. Now the first time I used it I only read the part that said wait 2 minutes and rinse off with water or wipe with a cloth for more stubborn stains. So the first attempt I wasn't too impressed with it at all especially seeing as it isn't too cheap to buy.
The following week I had nothing to lose by trying it again and just after I'd sprayed it the door went so it was at least 10 minutes before I went back to the bathroom and oh my word it had sure worked this time. The foam had all run to the base of the tiles and bath and left a dirty trail behind it and the marks that gather in the grout area had also come clean. I then just turned the shower on the areas to rinse and it was gleaming and the tiles were smooth to the touch no water marks or limescale and they were also shiny. My tiles were back to gleaming white, I was so pleased after the poor results first time.
Word of advise is always read the instructions properly when using a new product lol.
So basically this takes the hard work out of cleaning, spray it leave it then rinse it off and it's done. The can may be big and the price high but I will buy this again. I think there are about 5 good bathroom cleans out of each can depending on the size of areas you are cleaning. My bathroom is tiled all around the bath shower area and I also sometimes use it in the sink too.
Could do with more products on the market that do the work for you making life easier.
