The bathroom is one place where I like to make sure everything is really clean, but not being too well I am always o the lookout for labour saving products.
these wipes produced for Tesco are exceptional value at 75p - and are even cheaper than our local £1 shop.
They are readily identifiable on the shelf as they have a large daisy on the front; they also now come in a Pink Grapefruit variety for the same price.
These come in quite large packaging compared to some other wipes I have purchased and they say they are either 80 regular or 40 large wipes - in effect this means that they are a large wipe but are perforated down the centre if you wished to rip them in half - which I never other doing - so in effect it is a pack of 40 wipes for me but still great value.
I keep a pack of these on the toilet itself so they are readily at hand to wipe around the toilet seat if needed. I usually use two large wipes if I am cleaning the whole toilet - that is top of system, handle, seat and around the outside of the bowl - then they can just be thrown away in the bin - or as i have done sometimes flush away - though you are not supposed to.
I find using two large wipes means you can clean around the seat and toilet quickly and easily, the wipes are then thick and large enough that I do not need to to bother using gloves. I can do this quickly whenever I am in the bathroom and it means that 'cleaning the toilet' is not a huge chore that I have to fetch sprays, clothes an gloves for.
One pack lasts me a good while because I do not do this every single day. Being antibacterial I also use them on the window sill and taps in the bathroom and sometimes even around the sink for a quick clean up - but making sure to rinse the sink afterwards. I cannot say that they would help combat limescale - but any cleaning I would think would help with that.
I also use a goof few of these if anyone is ill with bugs at all as I then use them fr door handles and light switches - I don't know if it makes a lot of difference but I feel I am at least trying.
Although sold as 'bathroom' wipes these could be used anywhere such as kitchen door handles, bin lids and switches (which I do) - though I would not use them on worktops myself - though I doubt the composition is much different to 'kitchen' wipes.
These bathroom wipes are said to have a 'marine' fragrance but personally they have hardly any aroma at all - they smell fresh but not strong enough that it would smell the whole room out.
The resealable packet does actually reseal well so that the wipes stay moist until the very last one.
I know wipes are not the most environmental way to clean but for my own circumstances and I find these a great way to stay on top of my chores while using the least amount of energy. The bathroom is somewhere where you have to be aware of germs, even if you are feeling unwell - so a quick and easy way of cleaning is essential.
These wipes both do the job well and are economical - so definitely five stars from me.

I purchase a lot of different cleaning products and one product that I keep going back too to keep my bathroom looking and smelling fresh are these antibacterial wipes by daisy at tesco. They are fantastic! they are only available at tesco and have to be one of the best value products. The daisy range is there own brand and I have used many different daisy products and have been very impressed, they are cheaper and do the same job as the more expensive brands on the shelfs. I will now go into a little more detail on the product and explain why they are brilliant! trust me.
A pack of 40 wipes is only 85p! That makes then around 2p each. they are very cheap and if you look at other braded bathroom wipes you will be paying almost double this Price. I would recommend that you keep an eye out for these because they will save you money. They are great.
What do they do:
They come out of the packaging like a usual wipe would, they are easy to get out and come out very moist. You simply wipe them over surfaces that need cleaning, such as the toilet seat, sink, bath, shower head, tiles, windowsill etc. They wipe away the dirt as they are very moist. You can see the dirt actually on the wipes which is handy. I only use 3 or 4 everytime I give the bathroom a quick wipe down. I use these when I havent got time to completely clean down the bathroom with sprays etc, its just so easy to wipe a surface and clean it. I also like the fact that the are antibacterial! This is excellent for toilets and where germs harbour. They are strong and dont fall apart if you give a hard scrub. They have made my life a lot easier. I always have a pack of these in both bathrooms and if I need to clean something up they are there. You could also probably use these in other places around the home such as the kitchen, but Daisy do have other different wipes more suited to kitchens. These are really handy and I recommend you get some for your house. They are a bargain!
I am going to be giving these daisy bathroom wipes a 5 star review. I think they are excellent and I am very happy to pay the price for them. Very good value product. They are so useful and I will be using these for the forseeable future, they are excellent quality and save me some time in the weekly clean. Thanks for reading my review on daisy bathroom wipes! I hope it helped you out, I highly recommend you try these!
Thanks again, Josh.
Now to go along with the daisy bathroom spray you must keep this handy pack of wipes in your bathroom as well.
The wipes are around 80p for a pack of 40 wipes. Now it gets better because each wipe has a built in tear in it so if you tear each one you end up with 80 wipes!
The half wipe is more than enough to run around your toilet. It is slightly moistened with the daisy antibacterial bathroom liquid and so leaves a few tiny bubbles behind but these show me that the toilet is clean.
The wipes claim to kill all the major dangerous bugs that live in areas like your toilet and they are just so handy. It looks a bit like a large makeup wipe but obviously dont put it on your face as it contains chemicals!
If your whole bathroom doesnt need doing and only a small area needs a quick fix without having to get the cloth and spray then this does the job perfectly.
The packet is blue and squishy with a resealable sticky cover. I have found that the sticky cover doesnt stay put that well once it is wet with the wipes but it is still there so I cant complain really as that keeps the cost of the wipes low.
This is another fantastic product from the Daisy range at Tescos.
Daisy is a cleaning and laundry range that Tesco offer.
The Daisy Bathroom Wipes are presented in a blue plastic (not currently recycled) packet which features a large daisy on the front and product information on the back. These bathroom wipes are designed to be used on the bathroom surfaces that need wiped over. They claim to kill 99.9% of bacteria and have a fresh 'marine' fragrance.
These wipes are designed to remove soap scum and control limescale. They should kill bugs such as E Coli, MRSA, C Difficile, Salmonella and Listeria. They should be disposed of in the bin and not flushed. These wipes aren't suitable for use of fabrics, marble, carpets etc. Those with sensitive skin are advised to wear gloves when using these wipes.
Each packet has 40 large wipes but can be split to give 80 smaller wipes. They can be bought in Tesco supermarkets or online (www.tesco.com) and are priced at 85p. Tesco own branded wipes at £1.20 for the same amount of wipes.
Whilst I prefer to use a spray and cloth in my bathroom and kitchen, cleaning wipes come in handy for 'refresh cleans'. I have had good experiences with the Daisy brand of cleaning products so I picked up a back of their Bathroom Wipes. They are much cheaper than branded wipes and as Tesco say 'every little helps'.
The actual packet is pretty average. It is much like a baby wipes packet and has a large seal (which sticks down nicely after each use). The wipes can be pulled out easily but I find a few come out at anyone time. They are reasonably thick and I prefer to use one large wipe as opposed to two small wipes so the pack doesn't last me quite as long as it could. These wipes look and feel like soft baby wipes which I like and are a decent size to hold easily and run over surfaces.
The wipes are nicely moist - not soaking but certainly not dry. They are moist enough to be effective. The scent is very pleasant and subtle. It is a fresh marine scent which is clean and doesn't overpower. It leaves my bathroom smelling fresh and clean for a short while. These wipes are very easy to use. I like an anti bacterial product as although I cannot see germs, I would rather use something that is (hopefully) keeping them at bay for my families health.
The wipes are easy to run over surfaces and don't feel like they are going to split or fall apart at the thought of having to put in a bit of elbow grease! Obviously they aren't as quick to use as spraying and rinsing. I don't need to put much pressure on shower gel marks on my bath and the tiles up the side of the bath (I am messy when it comes to shower gel). The wipes bring up the taps, bath and tiles a treat leaving them clean and shiny without the need to rinse.
These wipes are ideal to use around the sink area, for wiping over my window sill, around the side of the bath and the shelving underneath my sink. They clean effectively and remove any marks without spreading them about. I have used them around my toilet seat - they don't leave a damp residue and simply clean the surface whilst eliminating any nasties. I run a wipe around the toilet each evening to keep it fresh and clean.
A packet of these wipes lasts me a few weeks with regular use. I like them - they are just as good as the branded wipes and offer a quick cleaning option for when you are short of time for giving the bathroom a thorough clean. They are priced well, don't dry out and leave a pleasant, subtle aroma in my bathroom. I have sensitive skin and don't wear cleaning gloves often - these didn't irritate my hands unlike the Flash alternative.
Thanks for reading :)
I have rather a strange way of relieving the stresses of the day, which many people would find totally mad, but I love cleaning. There's nothing better than bopping along to some upbeat music as I whizz around with my duster, mop, vacuum and spray cleaner as I find it so therapeutic. I'm always trying and testing new products, so whilst in Tesco a couple of weeks ago I noticed Daisy Anti-Bacterial Bathroom Wipes and this review discusses my experience with using them.
~~ APPEARANCE OF THE PACKAGING ~~
These days there seem to be so many cleaning products from which to choose and the majority all seem to blend in with one another. However, these wipes stood out from the shelf due to the fact that they were positioned at eye level as well as being of a calming blue with the huge red lettering of the word "Daisy", which is a brand manufactured solely for Tesco. The huge image of a brightly coloured daisy flower on the lower section of the packing makes them feel quite appealing. As with the majority of products of this nature we are advised of the usual claims that in using they will kill 99.9% of bacteria, including E.Coli, listeria, MRSA and salmonella.
~~ USING THE WIPES ~~
I mainly use antibacterial wipes in my bathroom and downstairs cloakroom, as I feel they are more hygienic that using cloths. However, whilst these wipes are named bathroom wipes they are more than suited for use in other areas of the home. There is a transparent plastic tab located on the upper section of the packet, which needs to be quite forcefully pulled back to reveal a good sized opening. The moment I opened the pack I was greeted with a very fresh aroma, which according to the information on the packaging, is a marine scent.
Each of the white coloured wipes measure approximately 29 cm x 15½ cm and are perforated in the centre should you wish to rip them in half. Whilst the pack contains 40 wipes I found ripping along the perforations made them too small and almost impossible to use. The wipes are a little thinner than other brands that I've used and are sufficiently moist and serve their purpose well. An issue that I have experienced with some brands is that they are overly moist and as a result, leave soap marks everywhere. Fortunately, this is not the case with these Daisy wipes, which despite their thin consistency are excellent value for money.
They are perfect for wiping germ breeding areas such as the toilet flush and seat and door handles with the surfaces drying rapidly, but unfortunately, they cannot be flushed down the loo, so need to be disposed of with normal household waste. It is alleged that the wipes will control limescale, but this is a difficult claim for me to evidence, particularly as my house is regularly cleaned. Whilst the fragrance is very clean and fresh I was disappointed that it doesn't linger, but that is solely a personal preference as opposed to them being inefficient. The skin on my hands can often become very problematic during the colder months where my knuckles will split and subsequently bleed. However, I am not able to report of any adverse effects when using, as they seem very gentle on my skin, which is something that surprised me especially as I often feel a slight burning sensation when using some brands of wipes.
~~ INGREDIENTS AND OTHER INFORMATION ~~
I do not believe in copying lengthy lists of ingredients into my reviews and there is a website on the reverse of the packaging should anyone wish to obtain a datasheet in respect of the wipes. I can't admit to having the desire to look although some consumers may wish to obtain further information. The pull back label easily reseals to ensure the remaining wipes are kept moist although it is advisable to store them in a cool, dry place. The outer packaging is not suitable for recycling.
~~ PRICE AND AVAILABILITY ~~
Daisy Anti-bacterial Bathroom Wipes are exclusive to Tesco where a pack will cost just 79p.
As these are excellent value for money and despite them being of a thinner consistency than other brands I've used, they receive 5 stars from me together with a high recommendation.
I hope you found my review useful and would thank you for reading.
