Daisy Bathroom Cleaner
Advantages: cheap and does a good job
Disadvantages: none for me
When it comes to cleaning products for my bathroom I am often quite happy to try a discount brand and this was when I came across the Daisy bathroom cleaner at Tesco. At just 46 pence for a 500ml bottle it offered unbeatable value and so I picked one up to try.
The bottle is white with a nozzle spray top like most bathroom cleaners seem to have. There is a blue label on the bottle with a half daisy on it and the word daisy in red. If it didn't have the "discount brands" logo just above this I don't think you would be aware that it was a discount brand as in my opinion it doesn't look any cheaper than any other bathroom cleaner really.
To use the bathroom cleaner you simply need to turn the nozzle so that it is in the on position and then spray it on the areas that you need to clean. I tend to use a cheap cloth to clean up with but you can also use a sponge if you choose. If there is a particularly tough area to clean you should spray the cleaner and leave it for around thirty seconds before you wipe it.
I have found that this spray is brilliant for giving the bathroom a quick clean. I can spray it around my sink and it will lift toothpaste and soap marks straight away and will leave my taps sparkling. I have to say I clean my bathroom a couple of times a week so it never gets in a bad state in terms of tough marks to remove but I have confidence in this product that it would be able to deal with them too.
The spray has a nice clean and fresh fragrance to it. It is not over powering at all and after I have cleaned my bathroom I can always just smell that "just cleaned" smell which is nice.
There are a few care instructions on the bottle that you should be aware of:
-do not use on soft furnishings
-avoid contact with wood, aluminium, painted or porous surfaces
-always test first on inconspicuous area (Ok, I definitely did not do this!)
-do not use on marble or stone containing marble, coloured enamel or enamel that is damaged or over ten years old
You should obviously keep this product out of the reach of children and avoid contact with your eyes etc. If it does make contact with your eyes you should rinse them immediately with lots of water. You should also make sure that you wash your hands after using this cleaner.
Now as this product is a Tesco discount brand you can only buy it in their stores or on their website but if you can do this I would thoroughly recommend this product. It works really well and I see no point spending extra if you can get a product that does a great job for a cheap price!
This product gets 5 out of 5 stars from me!
Summary: worth trying!
