~*~*~ Daisy Floral Disinfectant ~*~*~
~ What is it? ~
This is a pink coloured multi-purpose disinfectant from the brand Daisy which is a discount brand sold in Tesco stores. It has a floral fragrance.
~ Usage ~
It can be used neat on toilets, sinks and drains and can be use diluted for use on floors, walls, tiles, bins, and general cleaning.
~ Why I bought this ~
With Christmas soon approaching I have been trying to make an effort to reduce my weekly shopping bills in order to be able to afford nice treats and things over Christmas, I don't really want to cut back on the amount we buy so it has been more of an effort to use cheaper items around the home, I have been buying the Daisy bathroom cleaner for a while as I find it as effect as the branded cleaners so when I spotted this on the shelf I picked it up and popped it into my trolley and I was glad I did when I saw that a bottle of Flash cost over double the price this did!
The first thing that really grabbed me though was the colour. It is a delightful pink colour which I am sure all us girly girls will love!
~ Packaging ~
This comes in a slightly frosted transparent plastic bottle, it is a slim squared off type bottle with a neat handle on the side which is great for ease of use. It is topped with white screw top cap.
The label tells us what we need to know.
Through the bottle the pink liquid inside is visable and I think it really stands out on the shelf.
~ Price & Availability ~
This is available in Tesco stores. It comes in a 1l bottle and will cost you a very cheap 98p.
~ Usage and Thoughts ~
Not being one for overly floral products I was a bit sceptical as I was expecting the scent to be a bit over powering with this being such a cheaply priced product however when I came to use it I was pleasantly surprised.
Usually I would use my flash mop for floor cleaning but having run out of the pads for the underneath I have resorted to using my traditional string mop and bucket. My floors were in dire need of a clean after not being done for three days after running out of aforementioned pads so when I got in I put my shopping away, flicked the kettle on for a cuppa and filled my mop bucket with boiling water from the tap. I then added a slosh of this disinfectant into the bucket, this is the first time I had smelt this and I found it a nice pleasant scent, it has a nice clean scent which is slightly floral but not that floral that it's headache inducing.
I then mopped the laminate flooring in my living room, it got the floor clean straight away, any stubborn marks like pop splashes came away with no heavy scrubbing. The scent generally smelt more clean and fresh and I was pleased with how clean my floor was looking.
I then moved onto the kitchen where I first made myself a cuppa and then mopped the kitchen floor. I was pleased to see that my kitchen floor looked bright and clean immediately.
When finished I took my cuppa and sat down and as the floor started to dry I was very impressed to see the glorious shine on my floor.
I had to look from a few different angles as my floor has never looked this shiny and I was very impressed with the finish this disinfectant had left.
Having a clean floor is very important to me as I have my little one crawling around and playing with his toys on the floor and seeing my floor looking this shiny makes me think that my previous way (flash mop) wasn't cleaning the floor as well as I thought it was!
I have also poured a glug of this down my kitchen sink, just to freshen it up and I am also impressed with it when used like this.
~ Overall ~
As you can probably tell I don't have anything bad to say about this product. Priced at 98p it certainly is one of my better bargain buys.
I am grateful to Tesco for introducing me to this Daisy range as I have yet to try a bad Daisy product.
We all like to keep our homes looking clean and smelling good and Daisy allows this at budget prices.
I am very impressed and will be making a trip to Tesco especially for some more of this.
Thanks for reading :o) x
Summary: A brilliant budget priced disinfectant.
