I have always been a fan of Dettol products. The very first cleaning product I was introduced to was the 'Dettol Surface Cleaner'. My grandfather and my Father swore by this product and had no other surface cleaner in their home.

Firstly, Dettol states that the product: 'kills 99.9% of bacteria, including E.coli, Salmonella, MRSA and the Flu virus. With non bleach, no taint, and no odour, it is suitable to be used around baby equipment and food preparation tool.'
This is something that anyone buying cleaning products would like to hear, because it is doing exactly what you want a cleaning product to do but without bleach! Due to this product not containing bleach it no longer has the disadvantages bleach has- such as the smell and how it stains clothing. At the time I bought this product it was £2.00 for 500ml. I would say that is fairly reasonable for a 500ml bottle. Sometimes you may be able to purchase this product for a £1 when it is on offer.
This product is very versatile. It can be used on chopping boards, baths, shower curtains, and highchairs and of course worktops.
I recommend applying this product then leaving it a minute or two before you wipe it with a damp cloth.

Appearance
The product comes in a clear plastic bottle with a spray nozzle. This is very handy because I always find spray bottles much easy to apply on surfaces. The nozzle is blue and red and on the front of the label it has the 'Dettol' symbol and states the benefits of the product (kills 99.9% bacteria and so on).


It is really easy to use this product. All you have to do is turn the nozzle until it states 'ON' and then spray wherever you are wanting to apply the product. This is another good aspect of the product, been able to turn the nozzle to the 'off' position puts your mind at ease because there will be no spilling if you have to travel in the car with the product and so on, also it prevents the children been able to spray it all over the place too! 


Is the product any good at cleaning?
Yes it is really good, but I will add that it isn't as good as cleaning my cooker as the CIF cream and Mr Muscle. It is really good for cleaning the rest of the house so it doesn't bother me that much because I always have other products in the house to clean the cooker with. However, if you want to have just one product in the house to use in the house then it could be a slight disadvantage.

Overall,
I love this product, the fact it doesn't contain bleach is great and means you can use it all other the place without causing tarnish.
I definitely would recommend this product, it's just a shame it doesn't clean my cooker so well!
