I am reviewing the products that you can buy to go with the Dyson Zorb, although you can actually use them with any dyson make. The Zorb cleaner itself it equal to any other dyson, all of which are fantastic in my opinion. They are expensive but worth it. A little on the heavy side but easy to use and with great suction power. Not very noisy, for a vacuum cleaner and sturdy and long-lasting.
So, the zorb products...
I recently bought some dyson zorb granules. They are in a resealable pouch that keeps them moist. You sprinkle them over your carpet, particularly on the bits in hallways that tend to get grubby, rub them in and leave for 30minutes. The granules are like small particles of damp foam. You can clearly see them on the surface of the carpet. You then need to rub them in with a brush, to get them right down between the carpet fibres. Some dyson models have an attachment designed to make this bit easier but I lost ours so just used a scrubbing brush - it did the job well enough!
After 30minutes, or longer if the heating isn't on, the particles will have dried. You then vacuum as normal. You will see all the tiny yellow particles in the dyson cleaner. Supposedly the way it works is that as the foam bits dry, they attach themselves to the millions of dirt and dust particles in your carpet.
I am amazed at how well this product works. It really brought up our carpets so they looked as though they'd been professionally cleaned. It also leaves a very pleasant smell. I did ours yesterday morning and over 24 hours later, the lounge still smells of flowers!
Sprinkle onto carpet, leave for 30 minutes and vacuum up with Dyson vacuum cleaner.
