Ecover bathroom spray cleaner can be purchased in most large supermarkets, online, at www.ecover.com and some "green" stores, which also do refills for the bottles. The standard average price is around £2.25, which is not much difference to the big brand names. For this you get a spray bottle of 500ml.
The spray bottle is not different to any other brand to be honest. It has a white plastic bottle that is to a degree see through. Very useful when you want to know how much is left, especially if you are going to somewhere different like a "green" shop to have it re-filled.
On the front is a basic sticker with the name "Ecover" on it and stating the fact that it is a multi action bathroom cleaner.
On the back the sticker goes into detail about how to use, ingredients and company information alongside precautions.
The top is a standard pump action spray lid with an on/off turn dial on the nozzle itself.
Bottles are 100% recyclable. So nothing to unusual or complicated here.
PRODUCT AND COMPANY INFORMATION
Ecover is a company that aim to make there products more environmental friendly, made from sustainable products and generally healthier for everyone to use. If you require more information you can visit there website www.ecover.com which has a wide variety of useful information, including where to get re-fills or they have an email and phone number on the bottles and can be found on Facebook also.
So the cleaner itself.............They say that it is tough on grime and that you can get gleaming clean bathroom results but without the harsh chemicals of other cleaners, as theirs is plant based.
HOW TO USE AND DOES IT WORK
The first thing I noticed when I sprayed it was the smell. Not the usual bleach chemical smell, but what I can only describe as ginger beer! I know that sounds odd but in my opinion that is what it smells like! It is not unpleasant just different.
The foam comes out at a fast pace and gives good coverage around the bathroom. As per instructions I spray, generally leave for a minute, although you don't have too, then clean around with a damp cloth and rinse afterwards. The only query I have is whether it has any disinfectant properties - it does not say so?
On some bath bubble marks you do have to scrub a bit harder, for instance if I use a Lush bath bomb, but I find I have to do this with most cleaners anyway. Other than that it cleans perfectly well all over and gives a nice shine to the taps.
I have got it on my arm whilst cleaning, and to be honest can't say I really noticed, it certainly didn't sting like some other strong bleach ones I have used. I did wash and rinse my arm well but nothing came of it at all.
Yes I would definitely buy it again as it appears it is better for the environment and cleans my bathroom just as well with out the horrendous fumes.
Not only that it is pretty much the same price.
Review maybe posted on dooyoo and ciao under the same username.
I am a big fan of Ecover products and would recommend this one with all my heart. It really is brilliant and does clean just as well as all other bathroom cleaning products, plus it is kinder on our environment.
One of the only problems I have with this is that you can't find it in all supermarkets and I always end up having to buy this one online on the Ecover website.
In general its tough on soap scum and has a fresh plant based fragrance. The packaging has complete biodegradability which is another bonus, it has minimum impact on aquatic life and Ecover are against animal testing!
