Fairy Platinum Lemon
Advantages: cleans so well, packaging
I have always preferred Fairy washing up liquid to the cheaper brands. The price can vary but usually for a 433ml it can be around £1.00 to £2.00. I usually buy it when it's at a £1.00 and stock up! I do like a bargain!
Fairy Platinum Lemon washing up liquid is obviously lemon scented but it isn't too strong. Fairy claims that this washing up liquid is its ' best ever cleaning' and that it tackles tough grease and does a just a good a job in 10 minutes to other washing up liquid does in an overnight soak.
The fairy platinum has the nicest packaging of the fairy products. It comes in a plastic bottle with a metallic golden packaging. It looks much more expensive than the original fairy liquid because of the metallic look. However, it does have a similar shape. The bottle has a flip up lid, which is handy in terms of washing up because you can just squirt the right amount into the sink through the lid.
How do you use it?
Make sure you put the plug into the sink, then squirt the washing up liquid into the sink and add hot water. I personally put really hot water into the sink because I like to let the washing up soak first and then wash them properly when it has cooled. However, if you want to get it done straight away then put water in that is warm but not too hot that it will burn! The fairy liquid is very bubbly, something I want from a washing up liquid. I was pleasantly surprised on how well it removed grease off my actifry.
Does it dry your skin out?
It is known that washing up liquid can make your hands really dry. This has happened to me in the past and left my skin looking extremely flaky and dry, not the nicest of looks. I have noticed a drastic improvement in my hands since using this and I haven't been using any hand cream. So I'm guessing maybe there is something in this liquid that stops it from stripping out the oils in your hands as much as the others. This is not 100 per cent fact, but it is strange that my hands are in better condition.
Overall, I think the platinum washing up liquid is fantastic and I will definitely continue to buy it. It's usually the same price as the normal fairy liquids when it is on offer so I don't see why people wouldn't opt for the better version.
Summary: love it :)
