Advantages: This makes light work of cleaning kitchen stains, it works well and is cheaper than it used to be.

Disadvantages: It makes a bigger mess if you spray onto hot surfaces

When my cooker and roasting tin need a good clean I don't slave over them with a scourer and buckets of hot water. I just get my bottle of Fairy Power Spray and it makes very light work of even the thickest and most burned on grease.

It is very easy to use. I just spray a good amount of Power Spray onto the surface that needs cleaning and then leave it for between 10 and 30 minutes to eat through the grease and then I rise it with hot water and it leaves everything sparkling and clean. It is a trigger spray so is very easy to get the Power Spray exactly where I need it and the spray is accurate too, I can turn it on and off on the nozzle between uses.

I usually use it on my cooker hob when it needs a good clean but I generally wipe down my cooker every time I have used it so it doesn't get into a state very often. When I have been cooking with the frying pan my Power Spray is very good at instantly wiping up the little fat spots that have jumped out of my pan. The time I most remember is when I let my grandaughter help me to make lasagne, I had not noticed that she had dripped some of the mince mixture on the hob and also a little bit of the cheese sauce. I then used the hob again and it quickly baked the mince onto my hob and left a horrible bumpy greasy mess. Just 2 squirts of the Power Spray got rid of this when before I would have been rubbing with a scouring pad or even a Brillo pad for a long time and I would still have had to do it again the next day.

I always use it on my roasting pans and glass Pyrex dishes now and I do not even bother trying to soak them and clean them myself because the Power Spray makes such short work of it. I very often cook honey and lemon chicken and that is a very sticky dish and it leaves my roasting pan in a big black and sticky mess. At one time I would have put off cooking this lovely meal because I could not face cleaning the tin afterwards but now I let the pan cool while I am eating and my Power Spray cuts through all of the baked on honey mixture and saves me getting sore hands through scrubbing.

It is important to let whatever you are cleaning cool properly before using the Fairy Power Spray because if you spray it onto a hot surface you are left with a horrible white crust because the spray will dry onto the surface and this makes cleaning even harder. I accidentally left some Power Spray on my hob one day and switched the grill underneath on and it made a right mess of my hob and I had to use even more Power Spray to get rid of the original lot that had dried onto my hob.

This also works very well on saucepans and gets rid of the burned on bits you get when you have cooked a stew and also on my grill pan because I use my grill to cook fish quite a lot. It is very good at getting rid of cooking smells on my pans as well, but be careful if you spray it onto your stainless steel sink because it will leaves marks on there which take a lot of scouring to get rid of them, also there is advice on the bottle that tells you not to use it on painted items, copper or varnished wood.

I always make sure my kitchen windows are open before I use this because it sometimes makes me cough when my asthma is particularly bad. I sometimes take my pans into the garden and spray them out there to keep the smell out of the house. It hasn't got a bad smell really but because it works so quickly and effectively there is a definite chemical smell in the spray that is not actually horrible but I wouldn't want the smell to linger too long.

Fairy Power spray has recently come down in price and now costs about £2 a bottle, it used to be nearer £3 when I first started buying it. A bottle lasts me for about 1 month providing I am not too messy in the kitchen but I have been known to get through a bottle in less than a week before when I have done a lot of cooking for a party.

Summary: I would not be without Fairy Power Spray
