Smells lovely but needs a little more oomph!

I recently used this after having spilt some milk in my car to try to get rid of the horrible musty smell. I've used the original Febreze in the past and never really liked the smell although I would say that the original seems more powerful that this Lavender and Camomile version. I don't think the scent of this stays around for very long. I kept reapplying it to the milk affected area and eventually the febreze in conjunction with car air fresheners did start to make the car smell better.

The scent of the Lavender and camomile is really nice; not old fashioned granny smelling but nice and fresh. Like I said, it's just a shame the scent doesn't last longer.

The product comes in a spray bottle and I didn't have a problem with the spray even when it got right to the end of the bottle. I paid £2 for a bottle of this but looking at 'my supermarket' online it seems that the cheapest price in the main supermarkets today is £2.99. I wouldn't pay £2.99 to use it as an everyday product but for any smell emergencies it would be worth it!

      Febreze Lavender

Living in a house with a dog, cat, two children and a husband from time to time you need to freshen up and to do this I use Febreze. Febreze is a liquid spray that is said to eliminate odours and freshen at the same time. I think it is a really handy cleaning product to have in your household cupboard at all times as it is so much nicer and more effective than just a regular room spray like Oust or the like.

It is a really easy product to use. The liquid comes in a bottle with a spray function at the top. It has a little plastic twist on it that allows you to turn the valve to on or off so it is a safe cleaning product, especially if you have little kids around. Then you spray it onto the fabric you wish until the fabric is damp. I find its best to hold it a few centimetres away so you get even coverage on the fabric. I use this on just about any fabric I have in my house that the dog or cat has sat on or the kids have spilled something on and things that cannot be washed easily such as carpets, pillows and curtains. The spray does not mark or leave a ring of liquid on these items which is great and I find it a very safe product for that. However, it says on the bottle that you must not use it on leather, suede or silk which is fair enough, I would only clean these fabrics professionally anyway.

Once the Febreze liquid dries and actually as it dries it takes the odours away. This product works really well and I always find my nasty smell has gone and in its place is left a fresh smell and not a chemical smell either which I nice. I use the Febreze with lavender and camomile which is described as having a relaxing and soothing scent. I find it quite a fresh smell and one that initially smells sweet without again making your room smell like chemicals. A500ml bottle of this spray costs £2.90 and is a cleaning product I recommend.

      Nice spray.

I have bought the original spray from this brand and my wife bought this spray some time ago and I have only just recently been using it for cleaning. It was bought because it was a brand we like the smell of around in the home and we are happy with the original fragrance and so trying the Lavender was a good idea.

It comes housed in a plastic bottle which has a trigger spray nozzle. The nozzle twists on and off. The bottle is a good size to hold in the hands to spray around the home. The fragrance of the lavender is really nice and a smell I like a lot. The liquid does not drip from the bottle while spraying and so it does not mark any surfaces.

I have sprayed it onto my cushions in my lounge, just to freshen them a little. My curtains around my home have been sprayed with it and it has not damaged them at all. It is a really nice product to use on bedding in the bedroom and chairs. I like to use this in a room where my pets sleep, this area is one of the areas around my home that has the most smells. Pet odours can be quite annoying and so I like to make sure that this area smells as nice as any other in my home.

The smell does last for quite some time after it has been sprayed. Just a quick spray onto the fabrics and the job is done. It also dries very quickly in no time at all. It just leaves the fabric smelling nice and fresh. I find that the lavender is a nice calming smell and so sometimes I spray a little in the bedroom quite a lot. It is good to use this one to refresh fabrics in between washes. It just makes them smell a little nicer until they are ready to be washed. The fragrance is left in the room for quite a while. I use it also a lot in my conservatory. I find that this area sometimes is neglected at times and the soft furnishing tend to need a little extra help to refresh them. It eliminates smells well indeed and it is worth the price. It is excellent value for money and good quality. I have found it has not ruined any of my fabrics around my home at all, it has just left them smelling nice and refreshed just as I like them to smell. It masks all of the odours until they need to be washed.

I would not hesitate in buying this one again and for a 500ml bottle I paid just £2.80. It is one that I highly recommend for others who are wanting to buy a product to refresh the fabrics around the home.

      The bottle is recyclable too.

      I rate it 5 stars.

A very good product from Febreze

        *~*Introduction*~*

When it comes to my home I like to feel that it smells fresh and inviting and though I try to open windows as often as possible to circulate fresh air, this isn't always possible so have to reach for some kind of air freshener which my husband is not keen on at all. To keep a happy medium I have been slightly sneaky by not using aerosols when he is home but by using more subtle scents such as spritzing my carpets, curtains, bedding etc with a fabric freshener and Febreze has become a firm favourite with me.

Having used several varieties in the febreze range in the past I and have been pleased with the results I was quite looking forward to testing out this Lavender & Chamomile fragrance when I spotted it in my local supermarket recently..

        *~*Price, packaging & availability*~*

Although I do adore febreze products I'm not overly keen on the high price tags that seem to accompany them. A standard 500 ml bottle of the fabric refresher spray will normally set you back around the £3 at the cheapest though my local supermarket (UGO, formally Netto in Bradford) were selling various fragrances of the freshener spray at just £1.99 a few weeks ago. As this was the cheapest I'd seen it I bought 2 bottles of different fragrances though this was the first time I'd tried the Lavender & Chamomile.

The packaging is in the same standard fare of the other Febreze fabric sprays and is presented to us in an upright standing, slightly rounded and curved bottle in the febreze uniform colour of blue. There is a slimline neck which leads up to a purple plastic covering which underneath houses an adequately sized trigger and nozzle from which the product disperses from.
Apart from a sticker covering the front with the logo and relevant information there is very little decoration but at the end of the day it's the product itself I'm interested in and not it's outer packaging.

Availability wise, Febreze offers a whole host of products with ranges including refresher sprays, candles, air fresheners and plug ins amongst a few and can be found in all major supermarkets and most places that stock household products. Prices can vary depending on where you shop so it is worth looking around.

*~*What can it be used on?*~*

Febreze fabric freshener spray can be used on a whole manner of fabric materials ranging from carpets, curtains, bedding and even clothing. Though personally I have never had any problems with staining or marks occurring it is advised to test on a small patch first, especially delicate items and it is not to be used on leather, silk or suede.

Febreze claims to remove nasty odours once dried..

        *~*My experience of using this*~*

As mentioned I like to keep my house smelling as fresh and *clean* as possible as I tend to get a little obsessive over cleaning but I don't like to mask it with artificial scented products either. As I live in a small very old cottage it can become very easy for any musty or just cooking smells to travel through each room (I only have 6 rooms in total) and this can make the house seem rather unpleasant.

Though this isn't aimed at the market as being an air freshener it does hang in the air once sprayed despite it being of a 'heavy' watery consistency.

I am a fan of Febreze products and have used the regular fabric refresher many times in the past with varying degrees of effectiveness. What I mean by this is as soon as the spray dries the scent seems to disappear - not every time but on some occasions which makes using the product seem pointless in my view.

What attracted me to this particular scent was I thought if I sprayed the lavender onto my bedding in particular it may aide sleeping, as due to personal worries for several things seem to have inhibited my rest and my sleep pattern has become disturbed to say the least. This is not an 'Oh woe is me!' moment I'm just adding this point as I was hoping that this spray would help in some way apart from smelling nice as well of course!

I found that using the spray was a very easy affair and once the 'on/off' button (placed in front of the nozzle) had been activated to 'on' I was ready to go.
After a few presses on the trigger the spray emitted in a fast flurry of fine mist and seem to settle quickly on wherever it was aimed. The fragrance is very much lavender dominated but for me that is not a problem at all, it's a nice gentle lavender which is softened by the mellowness of the chamomile. Though I do like lavender scented items such as this I'm not a fan of very strong scented lavender - luckily this is completely the opposite and is a very refined fragrance.

        *~*Results*~*

On spraying this onto my bedding at night I waited patiently for it to dry..and waited! This is the only misgiving I have for these sprays as they can make the material quite damp and it seems to take an age for it to dry. The fragrance is the one thing though I was very pleased with as it didn't fade at all during the drying process and even when my bedding was fully dry the relaxing lavender scent still clung to it making my sleep that night far more fulfilling and gratifying.

Having slept notably better that first night I became like a woman possessed and sprayed this every evening though making sure to spray at least one hour before bed due to it taking anything up to 30 minutes to dry (depending on how much was sprayed) and I have found the fragrance to be so inviting each time.

My oldest son who is 7 always seems to struggle to nod off a night time as his brain just won't go into 'sleep mode' so decided to try it out in the bedroom he shares with his 6 year old brother. Whilst the boys were in the bath I just gently spritzed the lavender spray over their bed covers and onto the carpet allowing enough drying time before they went to bed.
My sons both enquired what the 'funny smell' was on entering the room but didn't complain and that night my older son fell asleep far quicker than normal.

Although I'm not saying this is a miracle cure for restless sleep it certainly seems to have helped in the supersonic household not to mention the lingering soft lavender aroma that seems to stay around for a few hours after the spray has dried. Though I change me bedding regularly when I have used this spray it always has that 'clean bedding' scent and my carpets and curtains smell wonderfully fresh too though I have not laid on the floor with my nose to the carpet as they do in the TV adverts (well maybe..).
When I have used this the fragrance has wafted through to my other rooms and acted like an air freshener as well which doesn't have an artificial scent so it really is a versatile product that I have thoroughly enjoyed using and will buy again.

Despite the fact it can be expensive and takes a while to dry it is something I will use again in the near future and I can't comment on how long it will last the average household though for me it lasted almost two weeks despite using very liberally. Because of all this I feel it merits the full amount of stars so gets 5 out of 5 from me.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

Using Febreze will get rid of bad odours!

A few weeks ago our car had to go into the garage so my brother was kind enough to lend us his car, now my brother is a smoker but he also loves fishing and as soon as we opened the car door we could smell fish and cigarettes which was not a very nice combination of smells!

I sent my husband to Tesco's to buy Febreze as I have used it in the past and I know that it is very good at getting rid of bad odours.
Febreze is made by Procter and Gamble and there are various products available, my husband bought Lavender & camomile which cost £2.74.

It comes in a 500ml plastic bottle which is blue in colour whilst the screw cap spray trigger is a lavender colour.

On the front of the bottle it says "Eliminates odours and freshens", on the back of the bottle you are given simple instructions on how to use this product.

          **How to Use**

To use you turn the nozzle from OFF to ON and then you just simply spray your item, in my case the car seats. As soon as I started spraying the seats I could instantly smell a strong lavender fragrance with a slight hint of camomile, I sprayed the seats until they were slightly damp and then left them for a while.

          **Results**

When I went back to the car the smell of fish and cigarettes had gone instead I was left with the lavender fragrance that smelt quite fresh and not as strong as when I had first sprayed it.

The fragrance lasted a good few days and whilst we had the car the smell of fish and cigarettes did not return so this product gets a big thumbs up from me!

You can use Febreze on a number of things like curtains, carpets, chairs, the list is endless. I have 2 cats and a kitten and sometimes I notice a cat smell in the house so I just simply spray the furniture and again I am left with a lovely lavender smell and the bad odours are gone.

On the back of the bottle you are told to test delicate items on a hidden area and not to use on leather, suede or silk.
You are also warned to keep the product away from children and are told what to do should you manage to spray Febreze in your eyes.

The only downside is my husband thinks this product is too feminine and will often complain when I use it in the house.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

            Good product

We always have Febreze at my Mums house, we have a pet cat and hes not that smelly but both of my sisters have dogs so when they come to visit my Mum likes to give the house a quick spray afterwards to freshen it up.

Febreze comes in a variety of scents and usually we have the classic, however at the moment we have the Lavender version. There is also a pet odour version. Currently in Tesco you can expect to pay £2.74 for 500ml but it is often on offer.

To use the product you simply spray it on the fabric you wish to freshen up and then leave. We use this on a variety of fabrics including sofas, curtains and clothes.

I often use it on my partners work clothes, he has two jobs and works every day during the week and also every evening during the week. He often comes home smelling of smoke where he has been around his workmates. As we are a non smoking household this is quite out of place so I often give his uniform a quick spray until I can wash it for him. His other job is working around food and he often comes home smelling of food, again a quick spray means his uniform is fresh again for the next day until I have a chance to wash it.

The febreze really does freshen up the fabrics, not only does it eliminate the odour you were trying to cover up, it also puts a subtle lavender scent making the fabrics smell clean and fresh.

The lavender scent is quite feminine so if you are using this in a mans home I would use it sparingly, however if you only use a little it just smells quite fresh.

I do like this scent but prefer the classic version because I use it on my partners stuff and occasionally he moans he smells like a girl! However, if I just used it on my own stuff I would probably use this one.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

worth a try if you like the smell of lavender.

Before I bought this, I wssnt sure I wanted my rooms smelling of Lavender - I dont generally like floral fragrances, and Lavender is usually quite strong.

However, it was on offer so I thought I would give it a go.

I have triedthe classic febreze in the past and I must admit, I prefer that to this Lavender fragrance. This is a bit strong and floral for my taste, as I usually prefer fresher, cleaner smells.

Whereas the classic fragranced Febreze leaves your room smelling clean, this tends to leave it smelling as if you have just sprayed a load of air freshener around to cover up a smell! Very overpowering and not to my taste at all...

However to end on a positive note, one bottle does last quite a long time,as you dont really need to use much to fragrance yoour room effectively - and it really does get rid of odours such as pet smells.

An everyday product with possibility of relaxation thrown in for free.

OK I admit it, I am obsessed by all things 'Febreze'. My favourite fragrance so far though is traditional and had decided not to deviate from this when shopping. That is until i saw Lavender and it was on special offer (£1.24 in Superdrug..ltd offer) and thought I'd give it a go. Lavender is not my favourite fragrance, but I am open to persuasion. This product has a light, floral fragrance but I don't think it is quite as fresh smelling as some of the other fragrances, but am pleased to say it is not unpleasant or too strong. It would not however, not be my first choice for febreze, if it wasn't for some of the other benefits that appeared to coincide with its use.
My partner has been having a stressful time at work just lately and is having difficulty relaxing and sleeping. The first night that I had used the Lavender febreze coincided with his first full nights sleep in about a month! (Whether this was coincidence or if he was just so shattered he would have slept anyway I don't know) I did mention it to my mum who also has problems sleeping and she sprayed her bedroom 10 minutes before going to bed and also had the best nights sleep for some time. I know that lavender is thought to have relaxing properties and maybe this is an effortless way to introduce it to the home. I have continued spraying the room 10 minutes before my partner is due home and I believe he is relaxing more quickly. I am not proclaiming its virtue's as fact, but it appears to be helping!
