Advantages: Leaves fabrics odour free and smelling nice

Disadvantages: None for me

As said in previous reviews, I have owned all manner of freshening products as my partner smokes and we have a dog and so at time the house can smell a bit musty without using any products. This is especially true during the winter months where opening the windows all day to freshen the house isn't really an option.

I use general air fresheners, but I also use Febreze regularly on our fabrics to freshen them up and eliminate any smoke or dog smells that might be lingering in the fabrics.

Many air fresheners just mask bad smells whereas the good thing about Febreze is that it claims to eliminate the smells rather than just mask them with a nice smell. The Febreze range has expanded over the years and they now do a range of specific smells. I tend to just go for the original version, but when I saw the lavender version with camomile on the shelves in Tesco's I thought I would give it a go.

The general price for a bottle of this stuff is £2.80, but at present it is half price at £1.40, hence my purchase! This price is for a 500ml bottle and at this bargain price you really are getting excellent value for money as I am a fan of febreze products and do feel they work.

I was a little concerned that this might mark the fabrics but I have used it on a few different fabrics including a suede sofa and I have found there are no marks from it whatsoever. The liquid is dispensed as a really fine mist from a trigger style bottle so it is really easy to control the amount you dispense and as it is so fine, you aren't troubled by any kind of drip marks.

My only concern with this one being lavender was that I didn't want my home smelling like a little old lady's house as I like my home to have a homely, but modern feel to it and lavender is always a scent I think of as being more traditional. I was quite impressed though as although there is a definite scent of lavender in the air after using this product, it isn't at all overpowering and is actually quite light and refreshing and gives my home a really nice scent without being over the top.

As with most general air fresheners, the scent does fade eventually but when you are near the fabrics, you don't get that same musky smell that you would normally so I really do believe that Febreze does the job of eliminating smells, rather than just masking them.

I definitely try and grab a bottle when it is on offer, but even at full price I think this is good value for money as although I try and save pennies where possible, I am happy to pay for goods that do intended job well.

Overall, this is a great fabric refresher and air freshener which works well. It not only freshen's your room nicely but actually gets rid of smells which is what I want. I think it is well priced and I will continue to use this in the future so it comes with a recommendation from me.

Summary: A great product in the Febreze range
