Febreze Thai Orchid Fabric Refresher
Advantages: Different smell, takes away bad smell
I have been using Febreze spray now for a number of years. Recently Sainsburys were running a promotion on the Thai Orchard fragrance and as I am not loyal to any particular fragrance in the Febreze range, just the product itself, I decided to buy this one and give it a try. According to the packaging this Febreze variation is Inspired by the delicate fragrance of fresh Thai orchids for a moment of pure relaxation and zen. A 300ml bottle was being sold at £2 instead of the usual £3.10 so I thought it was worth giving it a go.
In my house I have a dog, cat, two children and a husband and although I like to clean properly I do find that Febreze comes in very handy when you have spills and the odd poopy nappy floating around the house. Febreze is a liquid spray that is said to eliminate odours and freshen at the same time. I think it is a really handy cleaning product to have in your household cupboard at all times as it is so much nicer and more effective than just a regular room spray like Oust or the like.
It is a really easy product to use. I use it in lots of different ways. For example, I am a bit lax when it comes to changing nappies and will pretty much do it anyway, not just the changing table so when you have a wriggly little boy on the floor you can have a few accidents. I will clean up the accident with some proper cleaning tools first but then I like to spray the area with Febreze to firstly make sure that the area is completely clean and then to take away any lingering smells. This fragrance is lovely and a bit different than the regular Febreze smell. It has quite a strong fruity, tangy smell and not a chemical smell which is nice. I do mention that it is quite strong though as if you have a perfume allergy they advise you to use this product sparingly on the bottle.
The liquid comes in a bottle with a spray function at the top. The bottle in this fragrance is a dark pink colour and has a picture of a orchid on it, very pretty in my opinion, I love orchids. It has a little plastic twist on it that allows you to turn the valve to on or off so it is a safe cleaning product, especially if you have little kids around. Then you spray it onto the fabric you wish until the fabric is damp. I find its best to hold it a few centimetres away so you get even coverage on the fabric. I use this on just about any fabric I have in my house that the dog or cat has sat on or the kids have spilled something on and things that cannot be washed easily such as carpets, pillows and curtains. There are certain materials you should not use it on however and these are listed on the bottle. They include leather, suede or silk but I have used this before on my sues couch and it hasn't marked but I advise to do a spot test if you want to use it on any of these materials.
I find this product works really well for me and I do really like this new fragrance. Once the Febreze liquid dries and actually as it dries it takes the odours away. This product works really well and I always find my nasty smell has gone. I think I will continue to use this fragrance of Febreze and will stick with this brand.
