i brought this as a trial a couple of years ago because the store i went to had sold out of my usual Lavender and Camomile and lemon scents, so i thought i would give this a go and it was amazing. I was a little dubious at first, i thought it would smell to sweet and sickly but i was so wrong, it made my kitchen smell gorgeous all day and it left a lingering scent which i loved.
~~~~ Packaging ~~~~
It comes in the standard clear plastic bottle that thins out at the neck and has a blue and white trigger top used on all the flash spray bottles. The thinner neck helps you grip the bottle better and pull the trigger at the same time which is great for people with small hands like myself.
On the front there is the Flash label with the logo and pictures of the scent, which in this case in pink grapefruit. On the back there is the insructions on how to use the product and the ingredience.
When you first glimse the bottle you think the bottle is actually pink however that is the cleaning product inside, not the actual bottle so it is very easy to spot when you are running low and need to buy more.
~~~~ Using the product ~~~~
When using the product for the first time you have to twist the cap on the front of the trigger spray to unlock it. This is great if, like me you have children in the house and you worry that they might be able to get the safety catch off the cleaning cupboard and grab the bottle.
To clean your work surfaces you simply hold the bottle above the area you want to clean and spray, just once and a fine spray will cover a small area. I have noticed that you do not need alot of this cleaning product, 2 sprays on my long worktop is more than enough to clean the side and remove anything on there i.e spilt food and drinks. It also drys very quickly if you only use a small amount.
To wipe my worksurfaces down I use either kitchen roll or a soft cloth that is rinsed and rung out so it can be used again.
The only thing you have to remember is that when you are finished with the spray, twist the cap again so it is locked and the product can not come out, unless unlocked again.
~~~~ My opinion ~~~~
I absolutly loved this scent, infact i stopped buying my normal scents of lavender and lemon because this one was so much nicer. I found that after i had cleaned my kitchen the scent lingered in the kitchen but not on the worksurfaces which is great. I have also found with some cleaning products i have used that if i put any food on my work surface after it had been cleaned, even if a couple of hours had passed, you could taste it on the food but with Flash we have had no problem with this.
The pink grapefruit scent is very sweet but not over powering and it leaves my kitchen smelling fresh and clean all day which is something every home owner wants. Even with 2 dogs that walk in and out of the kitchen all day, it still smells fresh.
At £1 per bottle at Wilkinsons it was a bargin, although i have found that Wilkos have put the price up to £1.29 on occasion but it is on offer more times than not.
The only problem i have found with this now is that it is very hard to come across, everywhere i have been stop selling it for a while but wilkos tend to put it back on the shelf after a couple of months and then take it back off again so i dont think its a big seller, which is disappointing because i love this.
Flash is a well known brand of cleaning products and we have many products from this brand in our kicthen and in our cleaning box downstairs. We have never been disappointed with the quality of any of the products we have used from this brand so we continue to buy from it.
I use this multipurpose cleaning spray almost every day. The main purpose we use it for is cleaning the tops and table in the kitchen. It is very easy to clean them with this as you just have to spray some along the surface and then wipe them clean using a damp cloth. Although this can be used for many other purposes as well, as the name suggests, it really is a mulitpurpose product and has many different uses.
The spray nozzle is very easy to use and seems to be made well, as it has never broken before in my experience. It is also very comfortable to hold in your hand as you spray it.
The spray works really well and gets rid of all sorts of stains that you would imagine to find in a kitchen, which is where we mainly use the spray. For example, it quickly and easily removes sticky things like honey that would normally take that extra bit of scrubbing and elbow grease to get rid of. So I really believe this is a good quality product and that it works really well.
The flavour of pink grapefruit and green tea adds a nice touch to an already great product. I have tried other flavours from the range such as lemon, and thought that they were all really good, too. This one smells quite fresh and nice and I really like it.
Overall this is a quality product, one which we have bought many times before and will continue to buy many times again. It is a must have product in our household. I definitely recommend it, as it is reasonably priced as well.
This product is very good at cutting through th grease on the surface and is very nice smelling.
The house I moved into had white kitchen surfaces which proved to be a bit of a problem with this item.
When sprayed on the white surface they left a very annoying pink stain.
Even when wiped straight away it still left a stain which is quite amaizing and quite annoyong. It did clean through grease and left no surface residue but the pink tinge was not good.
The smell of this item was okay but not really like Grapefruit at all. It had no noxious fumes so it was okay to use in a small kitchen with no vetalation and okay to use everyday from this point of view. It was also kind to skin and left no irritation at all, and no pink to that matter!!!
It seemed to leave the kitchen feeling fresh as Flash products normally do and the surfaces were clean and grease free.
The surfaces also stayed clean for a while and did not pick up dirt as some poducts seem to do.
The cloth used with the product was also pink but that was not really a problem.
I used the rest of the bottle as I had bought it but would not buy it again whilst I have white surfaces. On dark surfaces it would be fine but there are better products out there.
We bought one of these sprays last week as I was intrigued with the colour of it and thought it might make a change from what we usually used. To be honest, it the kitchen I do not really use sprays as I like to wash the counters etc down with soapy water from the sink but decided to give it a try. It says you can use it instead of all other sprays so can use it in the bathroom as well. In there I usually use a cream cleaner which pours out, not a spray.
The bottle cost us just 99p from 99p stores so it was not a big pay out. I have since seen it on sale in other shops for more like £1.99.
It says on bottle that it clears grease and dirt and tells you not to use it on non-washable surfaces like wood and brass.
On using the spray in the kitchen I found that I didn't really like the smell of it on the kitchen counters. It didn't smell fresh at all but reminded me of the smell of a dirty cloth when you are cleaning the floor. It did get the worktops up clean and shiney though but like I said I wasn't impressed with the smell.
On using it in the bathroom, it seemed to get the bath and sink clean but I don't think it did the job any better than the cream I use which only costs something like 30 or 40p (its one of the basic cleaners from either Tesco or Asda or somewhere) so will be sticking to that in future. I also find the cream goes further where as the spray I had to use quite a bit to get the marks off the bath.
One area where I thought it did a good job was on the floor. We have a dog and the lino floors in some of our rooms get very dirty and I find I can spray this round the floor from standing up (I have trouble bending down) then can drop some paper towel down and wipe the marks up using my shoe and it comes up a treat. So I this is where I would use this spray, as a floor cleaner.
I wouldn't go as far as to say I wouldn't recommend it to anyone as each to their own when it comes to scents and it did do the job, may be not as good as what I am used to, but I would recommend it for floors, like if you just have a small spill or something, it is brilliant for this.
I purchased Flash one for all as I do get sick to death of having to use a million and one different products depending on which room of my flat I am cleaning. Also living in a flat means I am limited on space and having one bottle to clean all is better than having to store 10!
This cleaner is 'universal solution for your entire home' so what do I use it for? Well I use it to clean my work tops, my cooker, my hob, my sink, my bath, my shower, my bathroom sinks, my floor in my kitchen and and bathroom, the tiles in the bathroom so pretty much everything I draw the line at the toilet I still use concentrated bleach on that.
So does it work.....YES its does its great and it sure beats carrying a bucket round withme filled with a variety of products whilst cleaning the house. It also smells great too it smells of grapefruit so your not left with a chemical cleaning smell you can experience with some products.
All you have to do to use is twist the pyramid shape sprayer to spray which is indicated by spray lines and then away you go I spray the surface I am cleaning and then wipe with a damp cloth. For more stubbon stains the bottle advises you leave the solution for 3 minutes I would say half that is plenty.
The solution is made up of 5% Nonionic surfacants, Phosphonates, soap, benzisothiazolinone, perfume, geraniol, linalool and limonene. None of these mean anything to me but if you have alergys to any of the chemicals used best to know before you buy.
I get eczema on my hands and this product has never set it off although it does state on the bottle you should avoid prolonged use if you have sensitive skin it is a caution though and everyone will react differently to using different products, you can always use gloves anyway.
Overall a great cleaner the only one you need for general cleaning.
For the past couple of years, I have always opted for Mr Muscle's lemon kitchen cleaner over other brands as it seemed to do the job effectively. When my last bottle ran out though, I ended up buying two bottles of Flash One for All in Pink Grapefruit and Green Tea Leaf fragrance, as it was on special offer at the time, and I've continued to buy it ever since.
I think I went for this one over the other fragrances available for two reasons. Firstly it's pink and that alone is enough to sway my feelings! Secondly, the pink grapefruit fragrance appealed to me, as I do like strong citrus scents, and this is certainly that.
The spray is mutli-purpose as the name 'one for all' suggests, meaning that you don't need to purchase lots of different cleaning products for different rooms. It is suitable for most surfaces, although it does say on the back of the bottle that it can't be used on 'non-washable surfaces' such as untreated/waxed/oiled wood, waxed marble, copper, brass or black rubber.
The spray comes in a clear bottle so you can see how much you have left - a simple feature that my Mr Muscle cleaner didn't have. The trigger spray is fairly comfortable to hold in the hand and the nozzle can be twisted and locked into place, hopefully to prevent little hands from spraying this.
I use this spray for all sorts, and so a bottle runs down quite quickly for me. It is used to clean the kitchen worktops, the top of the cooker, the front of the washing machine, inside the microwave, the kitchen sink and draining board, and occasionally I will use it to clean the bath and sink - although admittedly most of the time I purchase Flash bathroom as well because I like the smell of it. I also use it on my dining table which is a relatively cheap thing with a laminated wooden top. Furniture polish left it streaky, but this Flash spray leaves it with a clean and streak free finish. So as you can see this is well used in my home, and great for the majority of everyday cleaning tasks.
One of my favourite things about this product has got to be the smell. To me, it's like that sharp and zesty citrus smell you get when you first slice into a grapefruit, and if there is a scent of green tea leaf in there, for me it's overpowered by the intensity of the grapefruit. It is quite a strong scent, so probably not to everyone's taste, but personally I love it. I also love the fact that the scent lingers for absolutely ages after use. As this is used in my kitchen most days, every time I walk in there I am hit by the grapefruit fragrance and it smells very fresh and clean as well as summery.
Using this, is simply a case of spray and wipe and although I find this product quite effective, there is the odd time when I find it struggles to shift tough stains. It states on the bottle for tough stains you should wait for three minutes after spraying and then wipe. In fairness that usually is enough to get rid of any stains or marks, but I find it inconvenient waiting so long and my Mr Muscle was much quicker at removing stains which is why I have dropped one star from the product rating.
This product is widely available and can be found in most Supermarkets. I tend to get mine from Poundland, where surprise surprise it costs £1, but most of the big Supermarkets and places like Wilkinson's charge the same price.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this cleaner. It tackles a wide range of jobs and I love the zesty grapefruit scent. The one downside is that it can take a while to dissolve tough stains, but on the whole I still think it's really good and I would definitely recommend it.
