“ Brand: Flash / Type: All Purpose Cleaner / Subcategory: Cleaning Spray / Category: Cleaning & Disinfectant „
This Flash with Febreze all purpose cleaner comes in a 500 ml bottles , which is what I have and a 700 ml one. The 500ml is £2.48 at Asda and the 700 ml is £2.98. It is often available on sale and is not in any other supermarkets that I know of.
I have been aware of and used Febreze for some time having lived in a flat for 15 years at one point, where there were limited options for drying clothes and the walls were also a problem having damp and condensation due to the construction being single cavity walls. Anyway I started buying Febreze freshener for ironing and spraying around the roomand just to freshen up the flat, so I became aware of the benefits of Febreze and had also used Flash cleaners on the walls and normal cleaning.
I am living in a flat again, a modern one, but have clothes out drying, so when I saw this Febreze I just bought it without thinking to much, and later found out it was of course also a cleaner. I use it to spray around when I smell cigarette smoke coming from somewhere and spray my clothes and carpet with it. It doesn't say on the bottle that you cannot clean carpets or sofas with it but I don't do that anyway as do I don't really use it for cleaning much as I see it as a fabric spray although it isn't just that.
I have used it to clean the kitchen floor as it is in the kitchen, and it is okay at that, but you need hot or boiling water really if there are any real gungy bits like greases from the oven. For me personally I find the smell ( relaxing lavender ) and the fact it can be used to clean surfaces in the kitchen confusing, as it smells like a fabric / clothes spray not a cleaner.
Would I buy it again ? No unless I saw it for £1, I would buy a separate clothes spray and cleaner.
In summary I think this is a confused product that is neither a cleaner nor a fabric spray / air freshener and is a bit like those combination shampoo / conditioners that try and be both things at once.
I have used Flash sprays for years and have always quite liked their fragrances, so I have tried a couple of the Febreze ones recently in the hope that the fresh smell will drift round the house!
I firstly used the lavendar one which was a really lovely smell and more recently I have been using teh New Zealand springs one, which is a really fresh & clean smell. What I would say (particlularly with the New Zealand one which is quite a bright green) is that I would be very careful with using these on anything which may easily stain. I haven't known them to stain as I'm always very careful but I've noticed whilst cleaning the tops down that the dishcloth turns a vivid colour when using these and so I've been careful not to use them to clean any odd stains off the sofa etc (which I sometimes do with other kitchen sprays!).
I bought a 700ml bottle for £1.50 (though I now can't remember where from) and these and the 500ml bottles are often on offer in various supermarkets.
The trigger spray works well and I do find that as well as doing a decent job of cleaning this product does leave a lovely fresh smell around the kitchen. Great for cleaning the bin or inside the sink, or any other areas that need that bit extra freshening but where you maybe don't want to use bleach.
I love having a clean and tidy home but I will admit that I am not really brand loyal when it comes to cleaning products. My friend recently said that she had been using the Flash all purpose cleaner with added Febreze and said that it not only cleans well but gives her home a lovely fragrance too. So when I was shopping in Wilkinsons I spotted this product on special offer and decided to give it a try.
The Flash with Febreze made by Procter & Gamble comes in various fragrances but I opted for the blossom and breeze fragrance, mainly due to the fact that it is pink which is my favourite colour! The Flash all purpose cleaner came in a large 700ml trigger spray bottle and cost just £1.50 on a half price special offer from Wilkinson's.
The Flash comes in a clear plastic bottle with a trigger spray top, as the bottle is clear it allows you to see the bright pink cleaning liquid inside. The first time you use the flash you need to turn the plastic nozzle on the spray part of the bottle from the 'stop' position to the one which has a spray symbol. There is a stick on label on the front and back of the bottle, on the front there is the flash and febreze branding as well as pictures of some pink flowers. On the back label you can find more detailed information about the spray including usage instructions and warnings about surfaces not to use the spray on and what to do if the product comes into contact with your skin/eyes.
To use the spray you firstly need to turn the nozzle to the spray position and spray the desired surface thoroughly and then simply wipe dry with a damp cloth. If you have a surface which is a little more soiled then it states that you can leave the spray on for up to 3 minutes to work.
I have used this spray mainly in my bathroom as with it being fragranced with febreze I didn't want to use it on my kitchen surfaces in case the fragrance was transferred to any food that I was preparing. The spray is very easy to use as the trigger on the bottle allows you to spray the cleaner directly onto the surface exactly where you want it. The spray is distributed in quite a fine mist so I did not feel that I was using more than was necessary and although it looks a very bright pink in the bottle it is a little more transparent when it is sprayed onto the surface. I have found that this cleaning spray has worked well on the surfaces that I have used it on. The spray is very easy to wipe off and leaves the surfaces looking clean and shiny with no left over residue.
I will admit that I have been disappointed with the fragrance of this spray, I am a fan of febrese so I was expected good things especially when it came to the fragrance. But personally I think instead of a nice delicate floral scent this blossom and breeze fragranced cleaner just smells like a very cheap bar of soap! This obviously has no effect on the performance of the cleaning spray but I like my home to smell fresh and clean especially when I have spent several hours of my time cleaning it.
Overall this cleaning spray works really well to clean surfaces leaving them sparkling but next time I will look to buy a different fragrance as this blossom and breeze one was very disappointing.
To be honest, I very rarely write reviews about cleaning products but as I have used this 'All purpose cleaner' for a few years now I feel I should share my opinion on it. Cleaning products may not be the most exciting product to read/write about but I feel they are an important part of our homes as we try to keep on top of the germs!
I usually pick this product up when it's on offer in Asda, sometimes you can get it for £1 which is a great deal in my opinion as it will last a good couple of months for us. In this review I am writing about the 'relaxing lavender' version which the liquid is purple in colour.
I like the brand Febreze and their fabric fresheners so when they combined with Flash I had to try this cleaner. I tend to use this to clean my kitchen surfaces as it cleans well, leave the surfaces streak free and fills the kitchen with a nice scent. Although I tend to prefer the other scents such as the ocean variety I do buy this on occasion but to me, it doesn't small as fresh as I'd like for a cleaning product. I like the small of lavender but find it strange to scent a cleaning product with it as you usually associate such smalls as lemon etc.
This comes in a 500ml or a larger 700ml. The instructions on the plastic bottle are to spray on the desired surface, leave for no longer than three minutes then wipe clean with a dry or damp cloth. I usually use a damp cloth as I feel it spreads the product further over the surfaces. This product cannot be used on everything although it states all purpose, surfaces like aluminium, copper, brass and painted surfaces should not be sprayed. You should also keep away from children, your eyes and broken skin.
Overall I am pleased with this cleaner and the lavender scent it leaves my kitchen with, I don't think it's touch enough to tackle the bathroom with as I use a stronger cleaner for that but for kitchen surfaces and the odd spillage on my laminate this is ideal. It is easy to use and wipes off without too much elbow grease, I occasionally use this on my cooker hob but for dried in stains a harsher cleaner is needed to lift the food stains therefore I'd recommend for light surface cleaning for when the kitchen needs a freshen up!
Prices vary from £1 on offer to up to £3 for the large 700ml but they are regularly on offer in large supermarkets so look out for the bargains.
Thanks for reading
Needing some more all purpose spray cleaner I looked along the shelves at my local supermarket to see what was on offer that particular week. Now I do like Proctor and Gamble's Flash products as they usually do the job well and smell pleasant but they do tend to be a bit more than my budget can afford right now so I often go for supermarket own brand cleaners which I find do work very well. However, on this occasion Flash with febreze and lavender was on special offer at £1 for a 500ml spray container so I decided to buy it. I haven't used products with Febreze in before although I have heard a lot about the odour elimination qualities of this for clothes and soft furnishings.
**The packaging and product**
The product comes in the usual shaped spray bottle and is clear so that you can see how much is left. It has a bright blue top with the usual trigger spray and a nozzle that can be twisted on and off to stop accidental spraying or spillage. The trigger and nozzle can't be screwed off the bottle it would have to be prised off which is a bit of a nuisance as I do sometimes like to reuse the bottles to put vinegar and water in to clean windows and I find the screw top nozzles best for this. However, I have a couple of these at the moment from Tesco's own brand cleaners so not a major concern.
The liquid is a pretty pale mauve in keeping with the lavender perfume and does smell nicely of lavender giving my house a pleasant perfume which lingers for quite some while after use.
There are the usual reminders about keeping away from children, your eyes and rinsing hands after use.
**Using the product**
The instructions on the back of the bottle say to spray surfaces liberally and then wipe with a dry or damp cloth. For tougher soiling the spray should be left on for 3 minutes before wiping. I have used this spray in the kitchen and downstairs cloakroom and have found that it tackles grease on the hob and worktops with no trouble even if they have been left for a while before cleaning and I haven't had to scrub or use much effort, just a wipe with a damp cloth usually does the trick. It brings my stainless steel sink and drainer up to a nice shine with a couple of squirts and a wipe and leaves the cloakroom smelling fresh and nicely perfumed with lavender. I have also used it in the bathroom and shower room and it easily removes soap scum and tide marks around the bath leaving everywhere nice and clean and shiny. My chrome taps and shower head also come up to a nice shine. I also like the fact that the liquid is coloured and so I can see where I have sprayed.
I wasn't sure if I was going to like the lavender smell of this product as I think sometimes lavender can be a bit overwhelming but Proctor and Gambol have got the perfume about right, it is a pleasant smell without being overpowering and it does linger for some time which is nice especially in the bathroom and cloakroom. Its cleaning ability is up to the usual Flash standards that I have been used to and grease and grime don't seem to cause it any problems. I am not sure about the Febreze ingredient as although I know that it is supposed to eliminate odours I can't really tell as the lavender probably masks any odours anyway but hey, I don't really care as this product leaves my home smelling lovely for whatever reason so all is good.
I will definitely buy this again if it is on special offer, in fact I have heard that is in Poundland so as I have nearly finished my first bottle I think I will be heading there tomorrow.
I have used Flash All Purpose cleaner for as long as I can remember, I like the way one bottle does so many jobs.
i discovered the freshness of febreze almost as soon as it came out, I love the way it freshens the house making everything clean smelling.
When I came across Flash with Febreze I thought all my christmases had arrived at once.
The bottle is a soft white almost transparent plastic, it has a wide bottom and narrow neck maing it easier to fit your hand round to reach the trigger, it has a spray trigger which sprays in a mist.
Instructions are to spray until surface is thoroughly covered..this is easily done as the spray is a lovely fine mist delivering just the right amount.
Wipe with a dry or damp cloth..the soiled surface comes clean with hardly any rubbing at all.
For a brilliant shine wipe dry..A lovely shiny clean surface with hardly any effort.
For tougher soils leave to act for 3 min max..to be honest I have never had to leave it this long.
The added Febreze freshness is an added bonus, I love the fresh lavendar smell, it really does leave your home smelling as clean as it looks.
I swear by this stuff I use it everywhere, I feel like I can actually smell that my house is clean without any overpowering fragrance. five stars all round from me.
I start off this review with admitting I'm a bit odd! I love to clean, love my home sparkling, clean and fresh and spend a lot of money really on cleaning products rather regulary.
I spotted this the other day in Asda at a pound a bottle though (on offer) and decided to give it a try.
The packaging of this trigger action spray bottle is simple. The frosted white plastic bottle holds 500ml of the light lilac coloured liquid and the top has a trigger action spray section that is blue and white and the nozzle bit twists to turn it 'off/on' and there is a loever to press to use it. On the front of the bottle we are told what it is and shown a small picture of lavender and the size is stated (and 500ml is the only size I have seen this available to purchase in b y the way) and then on the back of the bottle we are told how to use it, warnings are given, ingrediente are listed and contact details for Procter & Gamble are given (the manufacturer of the product). Nice enough easy to use bottle this is and informative enough of course.
Using this is real;ly very simple indeed. You can pretty much use this none oily, lavender smelling thin liquid anywhere you want to clean. Simply spray and wipe off. I use this on work surfaces (though this doesn't kill germs and doesn't profess to on the bottle), to clean taps and sinks, toilets and the bath with. It is a great de greaser, removes scum and dirt with complete ease but best of all it leaves a gorgeous, lingereing fresh fragrance for up to a good hour after using it.
This leaves things sparkling clean, I don't have to use too much elbow grease to get great results every time I use it and it leaves things sparkling fresh. What can I say.....this is brilliant, quick and easy cleaner to use!
Available in all good supermarkets etc priced at around £2.00 a bottle (if not on offer).
