Who knew such a clever little invention existed!!

We really like using our George Foreman grill! But I despise cleaning it - though it is "nicer" to clean than the oven grill or the BBQ. If you've ever used a George Foreman grill you'll know what I mean. For those that haven't, let me explain.

George Foreman grills have raised line/grills on the top plate and the bottom plate. On the bottom plate the raised grills finish at the end and come up as what could be described as "spikes". These spikes stop the food falling off the onward slope of the grill, but they also make it quite difficult to clean. The grease, fat and burnt bits stick to the grill (good because you see what you didn't eat) and previously I turned it on after use to "soften" the leftover rubbish and remove with a paper towel or dish cloth. My biggest issue was not burning myself of the end spikes and getting the grease out of the raised grills!

So when I saw these George Foreman Cleaning Sponges advertised I thought I might give them ago.

===What Are They?===
They're a 2 sided sponge. The blue side is the softer one, the black a scourer.
They are grooved to fit the raised grills of ANY George Foreman Grills

===How do you use them?===
I've found the best way to use these sponges is to turn the grill on and let it heat up a bit. Wet the sponge. I like to turn my grill off before I clean it - maybe I'm a bit clumsy, but I seem to always touch the hot bits!! Then it is as simple as wiping down your grill, letting the grooves follow the raised grill bits.
Then I rinse my sponge in hot soapy water and leave to dry.

===Do they work?===
For me, YES. I know there are some reviews on Amazon saying they are a waste of money, and a sponge/paper towel is a cheaper option, but I find I can get the grill cleaner using these sponges.
The top plate is always easier and quicker to clean. The bottom plate is the annoying one! These sponges get the grease out of the annoying spikes at the end.
I always rinse my sponges out after use. And so far they haven't fallen apart.

====Cost and where to buy?===
I shopped around for these and got a great deal on eBay for a pack of 3 for £4.18 including postage (£1.39 per sponge). I think there were better deals out there if you bought more, the cost per sponge went down, but I was happy with buying 3 to begin with!

===Will I buy them again?===
Yes, I'll buy them again, because they work for me! And it makes a not so nice job a little bit nicer.

I will say that we have a 2 person George Foreman Grill. We use it every couple of weeks or so, more in Summer, as we don't have a BBQ. So my sponges are probably lasting a little longer due to these factors too!
