I bought this bottle on the reputation of Harpic as a good toilet cleaner and especially for the promise of 100% limescale removal. I live in Central London and the only way the water could be any harder is if it was frozen solid. I have waged a war against limescale in the bathroom and kitchen for years now with indifferent success for ... Read the complete review

I guess I have never really thought to much about what toilet cleaner I buy, as long as it kills germs and bacteria and doesn't smell to horrid then I am happy, I guess the price plays a part for me, I am always after a bargain so nothing to pricey for me. I say I had never really thought about it until recently when I noticed a small ... Read the complete review

I live in a hard water area and although I clean my toilet several times a week I noticed that the bowl was starting to get caked in limescale. Not only is this unsightly it's not particularly hygienic either! As it was not too thick I decided to tackle this before it got much worse. Toilet duck was the first cleaner I opted for and I ... Harpic 100% Limescale remover is a very impressive toilet cleaner in my personal opinion, which I have used loads of times. We live in an area where we have very hard water and as a result of this we do have a lot of limescale build up in our loo which can be rather problematic. This is a 750ml plastic bottle with red cap ... Read the complete review

As with many household toilets, ours can get pritty disgusting to look at sometimes, even when cleaned and brushed well. When looking in the supermarket for someting to rectify this problem, it was decided that we would try this and see how well or not it would work-I must admit I wasnt sure that it would work, as we live in a hard water ... One thing I don't like about Lincolnshire is having such hard water having come from Warwickshire where the water is not so hard it can take a little getting used to and a regular item you need in your cupboard is descaler! Our previous house was around 30 years old and although not particularly old the previous owners had abused it ... Read the complete review

Over the years I have used many different toilet cleaners but I have always come back to Harpic 100% lime scale remover and this is really the only product I have found that does get rid of all the lime scale in your toilet; You won't get any more nasty stains, the lime scale will be gone, leaving you with a super clean fresh toilet. Harpic 100% limescale remover claims to dissolve limescale better than bleach Remove stains Kills all germs Promises to do plenty but does it. Comes with plenty of warnings on the bottle about how it is only suitable for toilet bowls and not for any other surface including stainless steel. We ... Read the complete review

If you read my previous review on dettol mould and mildrew remover you'll know i've spent the day giving my new house a good clean. As standard with household cleaning the toilets needed a clean. I usually use domestos because i like the reassurance of its germ killing power, but i noticed that one of the two toilets had a bit of ... Read the complete review

Harpic 100% Limescale Remover is a fantastic product and it DOES work. You have to give it a week or two, it will not work immediately as the remover needs time to work, but it does work. We moved house and the toilet was disgustingly dirty. Which in fact was limescale. Tried this product over 2 weeks and the limescale came away and revealed a new toilet. I highly recommend this product.....

This product didn't work at all. I removed as much water from the bowl as possible, squirted it all round, left it for just over 30 minutes, scrubbed it with a stiff brush, flushed... a few tiny flakes of limescale came off round the very edge, at the top, but apart from that nothing happened, above or below the water. I now feel I've deposited half a bottle of harsh blue chemicals into the water-system for no good reason whatsoever. Am going to write for my money back. Apparently Coca-Cola is a good limescale remover. Am going to try that next!

This product has no place in a family bathroom. If it gets on your stainless steel or chrome plated bathware it will be ruined!!! I know this to my cost. No warnings on the bottle to this effect. This item is HYDROCHLORIC acid. It is purely for use on the bowl area of toilets. Why then call it 100% Limescale remover and not Harpic toilet cleaner. Misleading and dangerous!

Recently, I have found that my usual toilet cleaning products were just not up to the job in our hard water area-the limescale and staining just got carried a way! When I came across this in Tesco, I thought that this would do the job fairly well as it has '100% Limescale Remover' in big letters all across the front. The bottle itself is ... When my family lived in our previous home we would regularly find that our sinks and toilet had quite a severe lime scale build up, made worse by some strange orange tint that a standard bleach or cheep toilet cleaner could not shift, it seemed no matter how hard we scrubbed we could not get rid of the scale and so it was that we found ... The words 100% lime scale remover on the packaging of this product really didn't convince me. I had read similar amazing claims before and never been completely satisfied with the 'power' of any toilet cleaner I had tried. Domestos, Toilet Duck, Parazone, Tesco's Own, Asda's Own, had all failed to satisfy me. Maybe I was ... Read the complete review

I put two tablets in the toilet and left overnight. In the morning I could see no difference so I put two more tablets in and left for about 8 hours. Could still not see any change so I resorted to the big screwdriver. The big screwdriver couldn't reach under the bend so I put in two new tablets and left overnight again. Once ... TOILETS !!!! Nobody enjoys cleaning them, we all have to use them, and unfortunately I have witnessed some public ones that would give Kim and Aggie nightmares. I have just finished an eight month battle with my loo.
