Advantages: smells nice, easy to direct, works effectively

Disadvantages: -

I always like to make sure my bathroom is looking clean and I will always buy the right products to ensure this happens. I have been buying this Harpic Power Plus recently as it seems to do the job well of cleaning my toilet and keeping the bathroom smelling fresh. Harpic Power Plus comes in the scent 'Citrus Fresh' and it is a brand that are well known for these particular kind of products. I have purchased products from them before but this one was a great price when I got it.

PACKAGING

This product comes in a very distinct bottle, it is in a 750ml bottle and it is rectangular but the neck slants at the top to a nozzle point. It is in a black bottle with a label on the front to show the Harpic logo and the product name and explain what it does. The reverse has all of your 'how to use' information as well as safety when using this product. The front of the bottle claims that this cleans above & below the waterline and that it is the most powerful toilet cleaner and it kills all germs.

HARPIC POWER PLUS

This product aims to clean toilets and remove the toughest stains in just one go. It is a thick formula and very effective and it changes colour below the waterline, to show it is working. The cleaner also eliminates limescale. The liquid itself is a yellow/green colour and to smell it, it actually does have a really pleasant citrus scent which is nice compared to the strong smell of bleach. It is a good idea and it is bright so you can see where it has been applied.

Now, the bottle does come with a few warnings, it can cause severe burns and contains hydrochloric acid. It should be kept out of reach of children and avoid contact with skin and eyes and keep away from food and drink and animal food. If it comes into contact with eyes, rinse with water and seek medical advice right away. If swallowed, also rinse mouth with water and do not mix bleach with other cleaning products. Wear suitable protective clothing when using, like gloves, eye/face protection.

To use this product, lift up the toilet seat and use the nozzle to go around the rim, it is useful being so narrow at the top that it is really easy to direct it like this way. Once squeezing around the bowl you will see the green liquid dripping down the bowl, it then goes to a blue colour once it gets under the water. If you want best results, leave for 10 minutes and then use a brush and flush the toilet. If you want all germs killed do the same routine but this time leave for 1 hour.

The cap has a child safety lock on it so just squeeze the sides and it will pop off, it is safe for septic tanks and suitable for all toilet bowls except stainless steel. This is a really effective product, in my household we use this once a week. It seems to keep the toilet looking really clean and there are no signs of limescale or dirt on my toilet bowl and beneath the waterline. It works quickly and I usually keep it on for as long as possible until the toilet is used.

The toilet cleaner is used alone, you don't need to use this with bleach as it is all contained in here. It says to use a brush when using this but I think that is mainly in extreme cases of limescale build up as I use this so consistently, that I don't really need to use a brush with it to keep it looking clean. This is a great product for all households to have and instead of bleach this smells nicer and has colour to it and is as effective, a bit pricier but it is worth it.

This can be purchased from all supermarkets for a good price, I got this at Home Bargains for £1 which is a great price and it lasts a long time. Asda also sell this for £1 so really anywhere you go, you get it for a good price.
