Advantages: good results, good price
Disadvantages: -
Recently I just bought a ceramic hob cooker because previously I never really worried too much about spillages around the cooker but now with the shiny black surface dirt starts to show up more easily. I love my cooker and being a huge pasta lover and loving my sauces etc this means that there are going to be spillages whether it's tomato sauce stains, oil after frying these all make a mess if not cleaned quick so this is why I looked into products for cleaning the hob and I found Hob Brite.
I have never really heard of many big brands doing cleaning products for the hob. I know there are these cleaning wipe things but to me these aren't reliable although I haven't heard of Homecare who make Hob Brite. I haven't heard of them but I certainly wouldn't forget to recommend if I ever come to the subject of discussing hobs.
The packaging, is unmissable being luminous orange with a blue lid, not the most complimenting colour combination but it's bright and stands out on the cleaning products shelf. The logo plain white writing and a hob photo with a sparkly star on the front emphasising the clean sparkle. On the side of the bottle are 3 ridges which are little grooves to place your figners in to have a firm hold on the bottle.
Inside a bottle you get 300ml of the Hob Brite it is a squeezy bottle. You shake this bottle before using then you squeeze out about a miniature circle of the white liquid. You using some kitchen roll or cloth and wipe the product over the hob. The smell for some reason reminds me of suntan lotion. It is creamy smelling, but clean eough, quite fresh.
Once you have the Hob Brite on the hob you take the kitchen roll and wipe it trying to get rid of any dirty marks. Sometimes it may need to be used twice if there is a lot of dirt on the hob. Usually a lot of dirt comes off and I am left with a very clean hob. It almost sparkles it's that shiny. I usually use this quite regularly, it can be used daily if necessary.
I bought my Hob Brite at the supermarket it is beside all other cleaning household products. For the 300ml bottle it costs £1.69 I think and this bottle can last a long time as I have not had to replace it very regularly.
One thing I notices is the top it doesn't click down firmly on my bottle and I feel if I were to knock it over the white product would spill out on the floor causin a mess. The bottle is quite a thick plastic and is ok. It contains Citric Acid and can't be used with alkaline or bleach cleansers. This product is approved by the Vegeatrian Society and isn't animal tested.
