I like to have 1 of this kind of products down the Toilet as I guess I like the gentle scent that comes from this and of course the Cleaning part of it is pretty good as well.
I got this with 1 block bit and the plastic bracket kind of bit and this cost me £1.48 from Asda. I think this was on a Rollback offer but it doesn't cost much more than that normally. You can buy this in a refill pack as well and I think you get 3 block bits for £2. So a bit saving to be had buying the refill pack.
I got the Aqua scent which is the kind of scent that I go for. It's easy enough to use. Just clip the plastic block part onto the plastic bracket and this will puncture the Liquid bit and allow this to work. So just clip this under the toilet seat and this will hang down just under the rim a bit and stays there secure.
So the idea of this is to clean the toilet with each flush and scent as well. With each flush this disperses a bit of this liquid which when mixed with the running Water will go around the Bowl and get rid of germs. The scent of this isn't too strong, and just a nice amount of scent that you can smell this when you go into the bathroom. I would say that the scent wears off a bit though which is a shame.
1 of these lasts a good enough lenght of time. I have never paid attention on how long this lasts but i'd say it is definitely over a month and this is based on a normal amount of flushes in a 2 person household (I think it is average.)
This is a good product from a good brand and I will use this again.
I picked up my bargain Bloo toilet freshener on my recent trip to home bargains for just 0.99p.
I do not usually buy fresheners for my loo as I usually give it a squirt of toilet duck once a day but for that price I thought that I would give it a go.
===== The Product ====
The freshener comes in a clear plastic container showing the refill full of liquid and the frosted plastic base.
The packaging tells me that I will be foaming for 4 weeks, the toilet that is not me! and will leave my loo fresh and sparkling clean.
It claims that it is packed with super cleaning agents that will prevent limescale and release thick foam with every flush so that my toilet is clean and my bathroom is inviting.
===== How To Use =====
Take the plastic base out and insert the liquid refill by gently pressing down to secure in place.
The base has a plastic hook which you then attach to the rim of your toilet, there is instructions on the back and even a diagram if you are not sure!
====== How Does It Work =====
I found it easy to attach the freshener to the rim of my toilet and it fit snugly, worth mentioning as I have purchased one before that kept slipping off and that put me off buying anymore until I saw this one.
I noticed that even before flushing the bathroom did smell fresh and this was a very subtle scent and not over powering.
When the toilet was flushed there was some very slight foaming and the scent became more powerful.
I also noticed that after using a few times, the liquid seemed to be released easily and did not leave a streak of liquid in my toilet which the other one I tried had.
I slightly obsessive about cleaning my loo and found that I still needed to do my usual routine of cleaning although there was a definite sparkle to my loo!
====== My Conclusion ======
I am a convert to Bloo!
I loved the discrete scent that was released with every flush and it kept my loo sparkling.
I was pleased that it left no streaks of liquid and continued to work until there was none left, I got four weeks out of the refill and as there are 5 in our house for 0.99p that's a cheap clean!
It's available in most supermarkets but look out for it on sale at home bargains.
Refills are available separately
