One product that has been a complete life save for me (well, until I replaced my sons school shoes) is "kiwi parade shoes polish", a product that I didn't even realise we had under the sink until my husband decided he could possibly go out for a night on the tiles with his shoes slightly scuffed!

The tin itself is a small metal tray with a lift off/click on design, with there being a neat little bar on the side that you twist to start off the lifting mechanism.

To use you use an old cloth that you won't need again (we have a designated duster we use!), you then rub a small amount onto said cloth, this is easy enough to achieve with the polish being an almost solid block of black cream, with there being a lovely fresh leathery smell emanating from the tin.

You then gently rub into the shoe in circular movements, this makes sue than every little crevice is coated with the smooth black cream, though be very careful not to do this near any soft furnishings this stuff (once on) will not come off again, and that is all you need thick black polish marks over your cream suite!

Once completely rubbed in I then polish of with a soft bristled shoe brush, this not only removes the excess polish but buffs up the shoe to a lovely shine, though never mirror shine as the shoes I use this stuff on are only slightly polished to star with!

As I said earlier this stuff has been a life saver, my son had his first pair of proper school shoes last year for his reception year at school, now anyone with little boys will now they have a very annoying habit where it doesn't matter how they walk, the toes always seem to scuff incredibly easily.

By the time I found out we had this polish I was seriously considering buying a new pair of shoes for him, but after a good polish up with the block polish they came up almost as good as new!

Price wise this is available around the £1.50 mark, a real bargain in my opinion, especially since they saved me £30!

This is lovely stuff and in fairness I find it quite therapeutic with the rubbing and buffing, the fact that my son is so grateful that his shoes look nice and clean as he tells me, is no problem at all!
