When it comes to cleaning products I very often find great bargains in Poundland. I normally buy only branded products however this was the only sink and drain unblocker they had available and at the time I couldn't be bothered to have to hike all the way to a supermarket and I had a real problem with my sinks and my bath at the time and was a bit desperate to get something to try!
I already knew from when I recently had my washing machine plumbed in that I had a lot of dirt, grease and grime down the pipes from the sink in my kitchen, even thought they fitted it anyway and I started to notice that under my sink was always wet!
The bottle this comes in a bright orange and plastic with a push and twist cap to the top of it. On the front of the bottle we are told that it is Liquid Power Sink & Drain Unblocker 'Concentrated' and that it clears blocked drains and contains 1000g of the solution (this is a big bottle of product by the way considering). On the sides of the bottle we are told what it is suitable for and how to use it, warnings are given and contact details for MPM Consumer Products) are listed.
This can be used as a preventative treatment or to help unblock blocked sinks, basins, showers and baths and we are told that it dissolves food waste, hair and grease blocks and of course you can tip some down a drain, leave it for at least half an hour and end the process by tipping hot water over it (you do this action this no matter what task you are carrying out).
The liquid is very runny and a very light yellow kind of colour and basically it smells like bleach and is transparent. To use it you simply pour some down the bunged up hole (not toilets and do not use a plunger though) and I used it first in my kitchen sink. I left it half hour, tipped water down and that was that when I filled my sink afterwards and then took the plug out water was running out the plughole easily. Spurred on I did the same with my bathroom sink as a preventative measure and my bath that when I flushed my toilet had bubbled up slightly for some odd reason and I had tried using a soda crystal solution on it that hadn't worked once again I left this half an hour and it worked a treat and the odd bubbling stopped completely. All my plumbing was sorted with just one bottle (and loads of this left too!) with a bottle of one quid unblocker and yep I'm really, really pleased with it and I still have some solution left and when I run out I will purchase more as an incase product!
I have only ever seen this available to purchase in discount stores.
