Morning Fresh Washing Up Liquid
Advantages: cheap price
Disadvantages: not anti-bacterial
In times when we need our money to go further and the weekly shopping budget is creeping up, finding cheaper products in the supermarket is important.
I've never been a snob when it comes to brands, so long as a product does what it is supposed to do.
Morning fresh belongs to the Cussons family which is Australian. They make many cleaning products for the bathroom and kitchen. They are all reasonably priced.
The Morning fresh Original washing up liquid is green in colour and comes in a see through bottle with a red cap. The bottle comes in a 500ml bottle.
The plastic bottle is quite thin and plyable which makes the liquid easy to squeeze out. Not that it needs any assistance. The consistency of the liquid is quite thin so poorly easily from the bottle. Whether or not this is an advantage, I am undecided.
The washing up liquid is fairly thin so you need a good squirt in to the washing up bowl to create some bubbles.
It smells fine, slightly lemony and rather pleasant. When using it to the wash dishes, food particles come off easily and the dishes come out clean and streak less. They dry without any filmy layers which is fantastic as they look shiny and sparkling. Apparently morning fresh contains added SparklexTM giving superior grease cutting performance for sparkling clean dishes.
Unfortunately in regards to more heavy duty washing up, such as casserole dishes or bowls with baked on food the washing up liquid does not perform as well. It just doesn't work that hard and plenty of elbow grease is needed to get things clean. When I say this I'm making a comparison to fairy liquid, of whichI find really successful at cleaning tough ground in food.
The washing up liquid costs around one pound and is available from various supermarkets. It is occasionally on buy one get one free offers.
The bottle is cheap, but it is not good value for money. You need a fair big squirt to get any sort of lather up. I'm also a little disappointed that it has no anti bacterial qualities; I think it is quite important when cleaning dishes.
I won't be buying this washing up liquid again. I think it is too thin and just doesn't seem to have any effect on pans and casserole dishes.
Summary: A cheap washing up liquid
