This is a powerful oven cleaner from Mr Muscle and comes provided in an aluminium spray can.

=== How I use this ===

Generally I just open my oven door, spray this all over and leave for around half an hour with the oven door open. I then use a damp cloth and a sponge to remove all the residue and the foam. This is incredibly simple to use, in my opinion. I have also used this on baking trays with stubborn marks including one baking tray that was actually set on fire in the oven (long story!) and I used the same application technique of applying it, leaving it to soak for 30 minutes and then wiping off.

=== Does this work? ===

Yes. This is absolutely fantastic at removing grime, dirt and blackened oil and food from my oven & baking trays. There is no scrubbing required, on my part, to remove anything. I just spray, leave and wipe back off. I have used this on all aspects of my oven, except the element & the rubber trim, and this has worked fantastically well on all surfaces so far. My grill tray was set on fire a few months ago and I had kept it stored hoping that I could find something to salvage it with, rather than purchasing a new one, and this was fantastic for the job once I suddenly realised I could use this on it. Both the grill and the tray itself were covered in black soot and ingrained fats & residue and this product helped to lift these in just 30 minutes. I was able to wipe the foam clean with a sponge scourer and very minimal residue was left behind. I repeated this a week later to ensure that the last of the marks were removed and this is now looking as pristine as ever which is fantastic as it saved me forking out for a new grill tray to fit my oven.

=== Guidelines ===

Rubber gloves should be worn while using this & arms should be protected. Pilot light or electricity must be turned off before using this spray. The floor around the oven should be protected well & for easy application oven racks should be removed. You then need to shake can very well, hold upright at all times, spray 20-30cm away. Do not spray oven trim, pilot light or heating element. Do not leave for more than 30 minutes. Ventilate oven and surrounding area well before using oven again.

=== Overall opinion ===

Obviously there are a whole host of guidelines as this is a very strong product. I did not use gloves but took care to apply this and took care when removing this. I removed my jewellry before using this and I did put an old towel I use for dyeing my hair on to the floor just to ensure that no damage occurred if some of this was spilt. I found that 30 minutes was more than enough for this product to be left on, particularly because of the harsh smell. When using this on oven trays I did find myself ensuring that I covered my mouth with a clean tea towel because this was just making me cough otherwise.

I have found that this works incredibly well. Like I have said above I left this for just 30 minutes and was able to wipe my oven clean. There were some large patches of grime & grease on the bottom of my oven and on the glass door and the dirt & residue was literally just lifted with the wipe of a sponge after using this. My oven door did require a little more elbow grease but this has not been cleaned for a whole year and therefore the dirt and grime was ingrained on and needed a little bit of elbow work.

I have been very impressed with the quality of this cleaner. It works well and allows me to give my oven a clean once a month with minimal effort. I find that a little goes a long way and I have been able to last a can for around 5 months so far, including cleaning my baking trays several times, and still have some left. While the £3.00 price tag may seem a little bit expensive, when compared to other oven cleaners, I would be more than willing to pay this just because it makes my life a lot simpler and allows me to do my most hated household job with ease.

The only reason that I feel this is deserving of 4/5 is because the smell is incredibly strong and while this is to be expected I did not expect it to make me cough quite as much as it did & felt that the guidelines should probably advise covering your mouth.

I must point out that I suffer from sensitive skin at times and suffered no adverse skin affects from using this product.
