      Disadvantages

      naturally, I recommend it!

I first tried the Naturally Powered Anti-Bacterial Multi Surface Spray when I received a bottle of it from BzzAgent. I really liked the product so have bought it since and am just coming to the end of my second bottle.

Naturally Powered is actually a Tesco own brand, which was apparently 'developed with eco experts'. It is made with plant-derived cleaning ingredients and the bottle (which is 100% recycled to keep on the eco theme) advises that it is suitable for vegans and 'supports the production of certified sustainable palm oil.' I must admit that rightly or wrongly, I do not go out of my way to be eco-friendly, as I find a lot of eco-friendly products to be costlier than their chemical-laden alternatives and I cannot always justify the extra expense. Having tried this for free via BzzAgent however, I was confident that it worked well and have been happy to purchase it, as at £1.80 for a 500ml bottle (and often the range is on special offer too) I feel that it is competitively priced.

The Anti-Bacterial spray comes in a clear bottle with a silver and purple trigger spray which can be set to the on/off position by twisting, so pretty standard packaging for this kind of product.

It is called multi surface spray and I do use it on many different surfaces, including the kitchen benches, tiles, kitchen table (which has a cheap laminated style top), kitchen cupboard doors, kitchen sink and draining board (stainless steel) and I even clean the sink in the downstairs toilet (porcelain) with it. Unusually, there is no list of surfaces that this is not suitable for on the back, so I assume it can be used with the majority of hard surface types.

The spray has a strong scent to it, yet is not overpowering. My husband hates it and complains every time I use this in his presence, but I actually really like the smell. It's quite hard to describe it, but I'd say it's quite herbal and smells a bit like essential oils. If I had to go out on a limb I'd perhaps say it contains rosemary and maybe a hint of lavender, but I'm guessing here and the bottle gives no clues as to the ingredients.

I use this both to disinfect surfaces and to clean them. I find that just a few sprays of the clear liquid are enough to get rid of most stains and splashes. I have white kitchen tiles behind my cooker and they are often splashed with sauces or particularly oil if I have been frying something and this spray takes any marks straight off. If I have particularly stubborn marks to get rid of, such as food that has splashed onto the hob and become cooked on, I leave this on for a minute or so and more often than not it will get rid of any marks. I have noticed that it leaves my stainless steel taps and sink particularly sparkling. It leaves no streaks behind and no stickiness or residue and the scent dissipates quite quickly too.

I obviously cannot vouch for the anti-bacterial claims without the aid of a microscope, but the product claims to kill 99.9% of viruses including E.Coli, MRSA and Influenza A. Although I cannot prove these claims, the anti-bacterial properties are reassuring and make this an ideal product to use in the kitchen where food is being prepared.

Overall I am very pleased with this spray and I would be happy to keep buying it. The scent is apparently not everyone's taste, but it cleans my surfaces well, is reasonably priced and the fact it is anti-bacterial and eco-friendly are an added bonus for me.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

A very good product. Would definitively recommend.

I have just received a bottle of Naturally Powered Anti-Bacterial Spray in its generous 500Ml size as a part of this Bzz campaign. The timing was perfect as I had just run out of my previous spray that I considered unbeatable.

Firstly, I have to confess that I am a perfectionist when it comes to tidiness in the house. I have worked as a cleaner in the past so have very clear ideas about cleaning products. I only use what works and am not easy to satisfy!

So, the first experiment was a success. I tried it on my baby's changing table (quite appropriate being anti-bacterial), in the bathroom, in the kitchen, and on the messy desk of my husband. That was the toughest job. Results? It only took a spray and a wipe to eliminate sticky food and wine traces, even less to make the other surfaces shine. The smell persisted for a full day.

Another point is the good value. The price is already quite good compared to others. Moreover, you really need little to achieve excellent results so a bargain overall.

All my impressions were confirmed by my own cleaner this morning, who did the whole house with it. She is another "difficult" lady but had no objections and would like to try more of these products. I handed her a couple of vouchers, of course.

Needless to say, the idea of an eco-friendly product is most welcome. I make a real effort to recycle , energy, and do anything else which could help the environment. This product range is really up-to-date and would deserve more attention. The price is again remarkable as most eco-friendly products tend to be too pricey and generally put off the buyer.

There are only two details I didn't like as much. The smell gives you a clean feel but is quite chemical - funnily enough! I think a flowery fragrance would make this product even more attractive. Another thing that could be improved is the packaging. The bottle is quite anonymous. Perhaps the reasons why I have never noticed it on the supermarket shelves before?
