I bought this because we often have people round, and if there is drink spilt or cigarettes smoked, then I can really smell it. So, other than leave the windows open for 24 hours (often not a practical solution if we are out at work or if it's blowing a gale), I have no option open to me other than spray air freshener stuff around until such time as I can sit in the house with the windows open.

I don't especially like air fresheners which drop to the ground as soon as they are sprayed or those which merely mask everything with their own brand of smell...often more cloying than anything normal life can throw at the house!

Neutradol actually offers me a good solution. I am not going to mask the smell but am going to neutralise it.

~~So, how does it work?~~

The Swiss company which produces these sprays claims that it contains more than 50 ingredients which attack bad odours and leave you with clean fresh air.

They claim that they are constantly improving the product so that it will always and forever be the number one odour netraliser.

Good stuff, then...with a spray or two, I can have instant fresh Swiss mountain air in my house.

This comes in a 400ml spray can, with, unusually for this type of product, no pretty pictures of flowers, trees or laughing people.

the spray itself is a fine mist which does indeed smell fresh. there is no real cloying smell of flowers or anything discernible, but really just a fresh smell.

~~How do I use it?~~

It's safe to use round children and pets so no need to banish little people outside unless you want some quiet whilst spraying.

All you do is shake the can, hold upright and spray. Remember the spray comes out of the top of the can so you are actually spraying it into the air.

~~What I think...~~

I do like this because rather than being an air freshener with an odour, it does really seem to freshen the air. Of course I don't feel as though I am in the Swiss mountains with just one squirt but the house does smell fresher. A bonus is that the fine spray does seem to disappear and I am not left with the feeling that it is dropping onto the carpet and then lying there leaving another smell.

It's easy to use as long as you remember to spray it upwards into the air, as it's not supposed to be sprayed onto things.

Naturally there are warnings about it being highly flammable etc, but I like the fact that it is safe to use round children and pets so we are not rushing to protect the fish.

I buy it at savers but it is also available cheaply in many discount stores, and at around £1 a can, it is good value. The can, like other cans, can also be recycled, so another plus.

A recommended product for air hygiene, which neutralises rather than masks smells, and leaves no lingering smell itself.
