Parozone Flushable Toilet Wipes
Advantages: CLEANS WELL, LOVELY SCENT
Disadvantages: THE PACK AND SMALL THIN WIPES
Parazone is produced by Jeyes. They have a range of cleaning products for your toilet.
Here we have Parazone Toilet Wipes wipes in Citrus scent. They are flushable and are designed to kill toilet germs including E Coli, Salmonella and Listeria.
The wipes come in a plastic packet similar to that of baby wipes. The Citrus variety is a bright yellow. There is a resealable label on the front with the brand and product name. There is also an image of the wipes going down the loo.
The back of the packet has some information about the wipes, the directions for use, ingredients, warnings and contact details for the company.
Remove a wipe from the packet and wipe over toilet seat, lid, cistern and handle. Once wiped, simply flush down the loo. Do not flush more than 3 at a time otherwise you may encounter a blockage that can become nasty!
5-15% ethanol, less than 5% nonionic surfactants, perfume, hexyl cinnamal, limonene and disinfectant.
*Availability and Price*
Available from most supermarket and local shops. They come in a pack of 40 wipes priced at approx £1.
I like a clean toilet..who doesn't? I like to give my full bathroom a clean at the weekend however my toilet is cleaned everyday. Before bed I run some Parazone Bleach down my toilet and flush it the next morning. I also run a Parazone wipe around my toilet seat and lid to freshen it up.
I bought these in with my Tesco shopping a few weeks ago. I chose Citrus as I prefer a lemon scent to an overly bleachy scent. I have used Parazone before and have been relatively happy with them.
I am not keen on the packaging, the seal is a bit of a hit and a miss and the wipes can dry out if the seal isn't replaced properly. Opening the packet, we are met with a strong lemon scent which is fresh smelling.
Removing a wipe was difficult, they are very thin and tear easily when trying to remove from the pack. The wipes are tiny, much smaller than a normal baby wipe and when cleaning your toilet, you really don't want to be touching anything. I pulled two out and got to work running them around my toilet area. The wipes were moist but not soaking and left a damp but not soapy residue.
I am not scientist and I don't have the tools to check if all bacteria has been removed but my toilet certainly looks clean and freshened up with a gentle scent of lemon. I flush my wipes and the go down perfectly without any blockages. This makes a change from baby wipes but that is a different story!
I am pleased with the outcome but better packaging and bigger and slightly thicker wipes would be useful.
At £1 for 40, I use 2 a day so this pack will last me 20days roughly which isn't bad for the money.
